Wondering why deaths when grey don't show in the player feed.
GM response would be appreciated :) Could have a new category in the feed just for grey deaths called "silly sods" |

Just add another category of feed, ie we currently got Guild/PK/BOSS/TALK/WOW then add 'HK' feed for Honourable Kills for whenever someone that is Wicked or below/Grey is killed by a player not in the same guild. (Virt & Below for Devils)

I don't think the server counts grey deaths.
I did mention it back in the test to have a pk count. Think it be cool to have global shout once some one hits 100kills. <<< basil has slaughtered 100 players >>> |

I agree. The wording in the player feed is "x deafted x". Evidently if you died grey you have been defeated by soemone as such it should show in the player PK feed.

Promoting player killing isn't something we'd want to do from a commercial stance. Arguably more players would do it and we'd get more "i'm being griefed/harrassed" complaints.

It's known as the player feed. Which arguably was supposed to show a constant update from the game. Showing that there is always players in game and I see it as a partial reason why the usercount has remained so high for so long.

Nope the server just happens to be fairly decent, an HK would be interesting to see, right now it only looks as if one side is winning every fight

However; it does promote, by informing in bright colours and through use of the abbreviation 'PK' and by regularly updating, the fact that someone PK'd someone else. Therefore; it promotes PK'ing. I do not believe that it would lead to further harrassment claims. People killed when not grey have already claimed harrassment anyway and this will not stop...what can I say? Weclome to soma. If killing grey players is a part of the game then people engaging in it should be highlighted in the feed if that feed aims to show user activity. Why hide this fact even if it does not look good commercially, it is nevertheless the reality of soma?

tbh if it shows any PK kills then it should also show the death of those initiating the PK'ing in even bigger, brighter colours, so the rest of the players can laugh at their failed attempt, thus strengthening resolve against the PKers.
Would also be cool to see any guard kills - always a chuckle :)

Hmm, wouldn't showing grey deaths on the player feed promote PKer hunting? Those who get pked show up on the player feed. If the PKer dies it doesn't. So it would be my guess that if we were to add grey deaths there would be more hunting on PKers. I don't mind so much either way.
