Im looking to level up a mage char and would like some recomendations on what to focus on...so far all i have done is get my char to 30 Con.

My thought is level Staff skill next and then level INT? but im unsure

2 choices really

Dex mage

OR tank mage

Either way get int to cap

Then do axe or bow along the way. If end game you want to wear eva to avoid melle attacks to cast then go dex, OR if u want to just be pure DPS mage but dont want to die in 5 hits then do axe.

You can do a mix of melle and int along the way it wont effect your hp/mp gains in the long run.

Matty's right, of course. But here's a bit of a useful tip. Get the Legendary Cookbook quest. But DO NOT DO IT. The reward is 1 INT, so it's tempting to grab an extra INT, but don't. Keep it until you get INT at 176, at which point it becomes capped (that will change with the new patch, but no doubt there will be a new cap, so wait until you get there). You will then have the max possible INT. Only then do you do the quest, and then your 176 becomes 177. It has bragging rights :-)
