Hi i have just recently reinstalled soma as i wanted to play again but when i start it it's as if the game lags insane amounts and then when i get on to the char select screen and go to log in nothing happens i just get stuck on the loading screen any ideas what this is? thanks in advance

what windows version do you use?
do you use multiple monitors? do you have any antivirus software that could be interfering? do you have VS 2008 - 2010 - 2012 - 2015 redists and upto date .net's installed? is there any updates available for your graphics card? have you recently done any windows update? (if so reboot)

Hi i am using windows 8, its not my anti virus interfering, theres no updates for my graphics card either i dont have VS though i don't think as i dont know what this is

google vs2008 redist
2010 etc and install those google .net and install those do you use multiple monitors? try making a shortcut directly to somawindow.exe in soma folder "C:\Myth of Soma\SomaWindow.exe" 192.99.150.23 in compatability ensure reduced color mode is enabled. to 16 bit.

Do you play other games? Which ones and do they run ok?
Sounds like a very important question from your symptoms. Also what make/model of laptop/desktop do you have? |

Hello....I have a problem with logging into soma just today... I was in tyt and my anti virus posted it was putting soma into a vault...now I can't log in? I went to vault and indeed it's there so what can I do?

add an exception for soma folder to antivirus software and restore the file or reinstall

Yeah i play other games and my pc runs them fine i play wow, pubg have no problems with these but can't seem to get soma to run it has ran on my pc before but i unistalled it and when reinstalling can't seem to get it to work

VS redist shouldn't be needed anymore the required files are included with the client patch.
Multiple monitor issue isn't noticable until in-game and after lots of text is drawn. For Windows 8 and above reduced colour mode 16 bit has to be manually set in compatibility tab for SomaWindow.exe for windowed mode. I don't know why you would be getting stuck on loading screen unless your character is bugged somehow. Edit: I have logged into RAGIN_FIRE without issue. There is a crash that can happen on loading screen but that would just cause the client to close not freeze and it doesn't happen that often (also will be fixed in a upcoming client patch).
