Probably a noob question.
Is crafting a skill or stat? So the 400cap for example. If I capped out crafting with 400 skill but then wanted to do more on a different craft like pots. Could I start pots and it would lose the highest like it does with wep skill? Or when I reach 400 Is that totally it?

It is a skill.
it will lose the lowest skill you have if you capped and continued crafting after 400 total skill
