The walls are rendered pretty much useless and are killed straight away. The guards are also useless as they don't hurt/use mass spells so are more of an annoyance and stop low levels getting into the halls.
Could they not be rearranged to use mass spells, status effects, have more guards, have more walls and more hp to both to create gvw more of a fight to actually get into the hall rather than just a 5 minute blow out at the end?

I believe iv seen a server with some catapults at gate
continuing with this idea how about having to purchase some defences |

"YOSHIMITSU" Would be great to see them cast mass slow/weaken/blind/confuse/poison etc. Also fire arrows so it interupts spell casting at times. Maybe even make them skins that move around aswell if possible.

There's so much possibility that can be done with this, the layout could also be changed to make different ways into the hall by putting boulders in the way, giving some guards int or melee attacks. Thought it would be a good idea to spice things up since the majority of gvw's are only a FFA the last 10 minutes max

Customization of gvw defenses sounds really good especially the option to use barr to spawn more/stronger/unique options. arrow turrets with attack speed, hp, damage options or even specific spell turrets. A specific turret/obstacle that could be made is denying access to the hall until its destroyed.
