Tbh gms, mages need a big buff. As it stands, the game is becoming myth of archers and is getting worse. Everyone has made an archer. I think mages need to have there max damage upped. So maybe no cap.
I also think mages need a new aura bringing in, maybe not dsoma 4th but something to help them, maybe 20% evasion for 5/10seconds, this way melee classes can still hit them.

As it stands, a dex mage can will be hit 90% of the time with full eva and a dex set.
Melee chars do not have a max damage cap I do not think so they just keep getting stronger while mages are getting weaker.
Archers now have +8 bows firing 3 arrows at a time, while mages have slowcast speed.

I feel the game has nowhere to go for mages so everyone is forced to make a melee char.

The problem is that there is a fine balance between 1 hitting someone and being able to prevent it/do back first.

Maybe we need a crit/chance like item that prevents you from being interrupted so eventually a stray cast will go off. Uncapping damage is fine but how many mages can deal 360 with DB atm?

If damage goes uncapped fine but then proper hp items/builds need to be released such as +50 hp ring where people can stack poi on them etc and maybe bring the abyss upgrades for 20hp ingame.

As far as 3 arrows a time goes i refuse to believe a 333 recoil exists in game however i am willing to accept that a 416 may be in existence allowing 2.5 att speed. Still pretty tremendous if you lack evasion/dex.

From what i can see mages have access to 43-47% evasion assuming perfect items but this comes at giving up alot of gear slots and i can see mages opting for 39%.

Perhaps when the next staff comes out after azure they should consider adding MA + Evasion on it. I choose the staff over buffing 2nd to make a distinction between low/high mages.
