Not sure what people think about this, but you could offer micro transaction services such as name change etc. for small amounts of money to help fund the game and support peoples requirements that require a GM to be involved.

I would be ok with it aslong as it was only things that did not give an advantage in the game. Along with what you mentioned - gender change, special hair colors, special shout scroll colors, special skin colors for devils, different aura colors. Basically any color changes/anything graphical.
