The gains are horrid, i just tested a 50% conti ab 50% tark lvl punching and i gained the following
2.7 str 2.7 con 2.7 int 1.3 wis 1.3 dex and by these gains from 50% i know that 100% on conti ab would be a minimum of 3.3 str 3.3 con 3.3 int 1.6 wis 1.6 dex now time to show the gains of a full INT level on gargoyle shamen 0.8 str 0.6 dex 0.9 con 3.1 int 1.0 wisdom So as we can see actualy training a mage the proper way with the current mobs is a joke, drazil druids are only 10 int more and will also be nothing compared to conti ab punch lvl, the only downside is conti ab without rested between 105-110 str is literaly 0.30-0.40% a hour. We need a new mage mob that actualy gives u more int than a punch lvl. Im all for punching to be a better mage but with the current access ect it just makes it stupidly hard with low str on a mage, having 0-3 def rings ect makes it unbearable, to think humans can craft +2 str/dex rings and dsoma have this seems rather strange but this is another story

Punching should not be mandatory, by mandatory I mean superior to hunting using conventional methods. As a Melee you gain more int/wis at the expense of STR/DEX/CON (depending on your class). As a Mage you gain more of everything if you punch. So damn disheartening that we're still even remotely considered OP (though I've never understood this).

How do threads like this seem to keep getting overlooked, surely it can't be right that a mage should be forced to punch numerous levels (taking 250 hours +) per level. Their should be a mob that allows them to hunt as mages and still gain a better stat ratio than mentioned by monster.

They won't be being ignored, I'm assuming Sylver and Finito just don't have the time to do all the updates as quickly as we want/they are required. This is why I mentioned my donation thread to solve these kinds of problems as there are so many things that are outstanding that could greatly improve the game, but the time constraints are against Sylver and Finito

The removal of dfs/abyss access has made punching rediculous, im hopeing this next big update thats planned brings something back because the soul rings are also pretty rediculous, on dsoma a +2 stat ring costs 1 of each soul basicly(which no1 will ever buy as its better to save for the +4s) and i currently own 1 soul myself, yet on hsoma it costs a few easy obtainable materials for +2 stats, having 4 str from 2 rings is extremely important for me punching this literaly knocks of 5-8 punches per mob, at the moment it takes me something like 56 to kill one conti ab, they really would cut of hours and hours each lvl
I know they need time i highly respect isylver and finito for what they have done for free, hopefully its sorted soon just trying to help bring people back to dsoma, since coming back to play a week ago i mainly see new faces which is a good thing but if the others would get back active aswell it would be great, as i dont see alot of the active people from 2 months ago, apart from at events such as wotw some appear, as for gvw thats dead on dsoma side at the moment

I agree as a new player and new mage I noticed a lot of mages punching and I was just thinking a mage should not be forced to punch for his level that is ridiculous. His strength is really low so at level 60 a mage shouldn't be punching conti abs where he does hardly no damage and hwan abs would barely give any stats.
