Just an idea, could we get some clarification on what the actual rules of the server are? At the moment it's slightly ambiguous on what is allowed and what isn't allowed, one GM says multying is fine, at your own risk, the rumours are the other says he dislikes it.
There is no definition on grief play, since when was blinding people who are mob stealing classed as grief play haha?! And if they don't like it, they know where the white mage is and there are serums. Or just remove blind and make the game boring and give black mages a cure as well? To be honest I thought the new server would be a new start for EVERYONE involved, I though the attitudes and egos would disappear and currently within the player-base it seems to be a lot of competitive banter with a few mishaps due to the competitiveness. Shame a few grudges and favors have been held by those in power creating rules as the server develops instead of launching them before it's even up; and then threatening those players with these new rules. A final suggestion is that we should have a tribunal system much alike league of legends used by the advisors and GMs combined, if a player has been deemed to be breaking the rules it should be made public domain maybe on the forum if and how they decided to punish the players and for what reasons.

Grudges and favors? That is idiotic.
I'm extremely unbiased and treat everyone equally but any actions on the test server will be considered in this server. In fact if we are referring to the same player (which I assume we are). I told them if I saw them on this server they'd be removed instantly for the damage they could have caused by not reporting a very significant bug. However in the spirit of forgiveness I gave him one more single chance. Is it not wise to accuse myself or the members of my team of any biased actions. Tread lightly. As for the tribunal system it would be quite easy to make a public list of who's been banned but it would also reveal other characters on the same account (as banning is done by the account).

Sooo nothing on the clarification of rules? It would be a lot easier to abide by server rules if we actually knew what they were...
As for the player I'm assuming were both talking about, he did bring it to your attention (because everyone was abusing it) and then got a ban. Weird. Also as were onto the subject of this player, if it wasn't for him there would be so many things in the official server unchanged due to the fact he actually inadvertently tested them for you and brought the subject to mind either through showing you how ridiculous they were or explicitly telling you for months on end to try and get them solved. A few examples by the way are the HP gains with the old con method and the now pot delay because he use to tank 4/5 people naked, the crafting bug, would anyone else have brought this too your attention? Finally I was not accusing anyone of biased action - more like biased attitude. Did any of the other players "abusing" blind have their right to complain removed and told they are on a final warning for doing something they thought was part of the game?

As far as I'm aware the same 'system' of rules apply here as on the test server.
Multi - Do what you want at your own risk, this balances out when you account gets stolen. Grieffing / stopping people hunting / hunting people - PvP is part of the game, but there are limits to how far a person can go. Bugs - Report them to advisors or the forum. If nothing is done for a longer period of time you could start thinking of contacting iSylver or Finito. Complaints / abuses - Report them to advisors or the forum. If nothing is done for a longer period of time you could start thinking of contacting iSylver, however this isn't how he should spend his time at all. I'll try to clarify any other topic, if I can't I'll try to find out. Remember that Soma is a game of patience, if you can't stand the harsh HSoma environment come join us in DSoma. :)

"ASPHYXIA"Sooo nothing on the clarification of rules? It would be a lot easier to abide by server rules if we actually knew what they were... The rules summed up by Ian are fine by me. I understand your need to defend your sibling but do so in a correct manner spouting biased rumours and such will not help you. Take this as a friendly warning. Your brother has every opportunity to prove me wrong and change my mind on him but anyone who abuses any bug and doesn't report it immediately loses credit.

"ISYLVER"If you start trying to bite the hand that feeds you your service will be revoked. "The hand that feeds" was never bitten, infact I was nothing but polite towards you, both in game and on the live website chat. However the messages I received from you in game were in my opinion rude and somewhat degrading, deliberately attempting to get the hand bitten. "ISYLVER"Your brother has every opportunity to prove me wrong and change my mind on him but anyone who abuses any bug and doesn't report it immediately loses credit. As for reporting bugs here's a full thread of them, including the one I had my character deleted for while half of the server abused it (including yours mates you played previous servers with). http://somadev.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=46&t=5008

I completely get that you think I'm just trying to defend my brother, but I would defend ANY player placed in this situation, it's completely unfair on ANYBODY to be punished for something they haven't been pre-warned is wrong to do. My issue is that your holding strikes against a player who was testing bugs and reporting them too you on a test server as you ever so continuously reminded us. You blatently held a grudge against this specific player based on past opinion and instantaneously reduced this player to strike 2/3 metaphorically on the official server for breaking a rule we didn't even know existed, which I'm sure in most peoples eyes is strenuously unfair, including yourself I'm presuming considering the u-turn on the stance of blind - either that or it is fine now other people are doing it? As for bug reporting and bans - half the people playing the test server shouldn't be playing the official server if that is the case. Finally I haven't spouted any rumour thus far in this thread as far as I can recall, my apologies if you think I have expressed any sort of slander - I wasn't looking for a debate, I was looking for answers the current situation.

To sum it up.
After finding Gump(1337 on the test server) knew about a bug which could have damaged the official server for some time before it was reported (by others). I politely asked him not to play the official server. I then noticed he was playing the official to which I stated I don't mind providing he lays low. If he causes me or the team ANY unneeded work he would be removed. If you don't like this then tough. My feelings towards a player are not a democracy and if you can't live with that then don't play. Any further responses will lead to disciplinary actions.
