can't change resolution

ok so until today i've been playing with 1152x800 windowed resolution and generally it worked fine, with a few computer crashes here and there. today i came online and within a few minutes the pc crashed. after several restarts and repeat crashes i reinstalled soma, changing the resolution from 800x600 to my custom 1152x800. immediately upon opening the game in a window again, the computer crashed and i had to restart. i changed the resolution back to the standard 800x600 and it worked, let me open the game in both window and full-screen. i tried to use 1000x750 to keep the 4:3 aspect ratio and no luck, it crashes immediately in window mode and won't even open soma in full-screen with these settings..

if i can't find a fix i might end up quitting because with this small resolution i can even be attacked by players from off the side of my screen... horrible.

i don't know how to roll back drivers but i'll find out online.

the other thing well, after i installed those new drivers it did work for like 3 hours then i shut down the PC and went to bed. i had been using that resolution 1152x800 for around a week before this happened and had this crash problem only once or twice while now it's become persistent..

just try re-downloadin the driver and install fresh then also, may have just corrupted a bit with that crash

always try windows recovery also to roll bk ya computer a week, a new driver install shoulda made a save point before installing

Eliminating your drivers completely and installing fresh is the first thing to do, when you download soma again don't reinstall it to the same location, install it into another folder as some settings are kept through registry etc.

Also I crashed on 3 or 4 resolutions that are PC recommended aspect ratios but I made a custom one like 1250x1000 or something (not at PC) and it worked fine.
