[/quote] Maybe that is the case, I certainly don't take MOTD seriously as i'm not a footy fan but it doesn't take away from the fact that Soma is a role playing game and not real life whether everybody can accept that or not. The reason many people play these type of games is to escape the confines of reality and not necessarily have to uphold the decent character and values i'm sure we all share irl. Anyway if you're only arguing for an opt out i'm right there with you WC on/off was obv implemented for a reason and it has been acknowledged as a bug but limiting WC so others can't enjoy if they want to is too far imo. The argument about choice cuts both ways, why do people who are more sensitive necessarily trump those who enjoy the back & forward esp when it seems to split the community down the middle?[/quote]

[/quote] Sal3m, its fine ^^. It does take it away from the fact it is a old game. Do you think people use football to blow off steam? Yes. Do they sometimes use it to escape their work problems or even family problems? Yes. Its all directly relatable. Do they do it to just to have fun, socially or just for the sport. Yes they do. Exactly like a game (without some health benefits ;o) There is a genuine reason why every other game, even of the same era of Soma, didn't put in a world shout feature that could be used the way it sometimes is in this game. World shout is meant to be for other things. Keep your banter, I did say I enjoyed it sometimes, keep the slanging matches going, even make very funny, politically incorrect jokes (which I love sometimes) but I don't see why it needs to happen on World Shout. It would LIKELY do nothing for a new player, that has no relationship with anyone that currently plays, to encourage them to stay. You're the one that is implying it has anything to do with sensitivity, or morals, maturity or making taking the game seriously, I'm just suggesting an improvement. You're the one that is saying this is about the sensitive people trumping everyone else, this is just about new players and the mood of the game. Its arguments like these is why how PKing is done, was left as it was for so long. No one ever said they shouldn't be PKed, just that there was a means to moderate it. This is similar. This is about longevity, not every game is meant to be played like League of Legends, in a LoL community and where it is, that chat is likely put elsewhere. So yes, it cuts both ways. [/quote]
