+1 Was nice to see something new i enjoyed myself even if there where bugs, i can understand the people who lost items where unhappy but gm's will sort it out.

As a causal uncapped player it's nice there is an event I can go to and have some sort of success.... GVW WOTW and SS are pretty much pointless if you're under lvl 100 so I think this is a quality addition!!

can't wait to try once Im back!
Would a monthly/quarterly PVP event work? where you give everyone a chance to be capped NPC at start of event to give you best non upgraded items (and no chance of upgrading - or maybe an option to have 10/15 upgrades of your choice?) just pure pvp skill or even maybe groups like 2v2 3v3?

Few ideas...
We are allowed to pick roles. Tank, healer, magic or melee DPS. And in doing that we get specific spells according to our roles No pots should be allowed and so you would have to rely more on healers and be more obliged to stay together as a team. Another thing is that it should be treated more as a PVP group so we can each other HP and talk in a party chat/

Really big improvement on yesterday whilst running the test this morning re: bugs etc but probably the one biggest remaining one I noticed is the 'invisible obstacle' problem around both flags. It makes it extremely difficult and frustrating to pick up/place the flags - I think it may have something to do with the shadow on the flagpole which flickers around the screen. If this could be fixed I think it would go a long way to making the thing run more smoothly.

Yeah the impassable tiles near flag is because there should be an object there and also to prevent blocking of the flag spawn.
First thing (object) is because I forgot to save the object file for map. Second the blocking of flag spawn I will be able to sort out soon by preventing move onto the tile with the flag. I also plan to make flag pole wider at bottom for easier clicking. The flag holder magic will be fixed when the server has a reboot. There was supposed to be a new map but been delayed while sort out issues. Blink aura was going to allow movement to where mouse cursor is but had to change it to get it done for Sat event. It has been mentioned that the event auras should all have separate cooldowns. I wanted to do this but it not that easy to make the changes needed to get it working. Flag when dropped should maybe return after a period of time and be shown on minimal. I need to add a way to find a dropped item on map and remove it. There is another issue where if your inventory is full the flag cannot be picked up because not sorted our the pickup not adding an item to inventory or preventing free slot check from happening as the flag item is immediately removed from inventory on pickup.

Any ideas what we are going to do regarding different numbers, devs still so weak and struggle to regain our flag if taken by humans, there also seems to be an unsporting element to the competition where people run in front of where you are running to cause you to lag away.

Could we have a section on the index page of the website below the WOTW section saying who the current champions are and when the next event is?
Could this event be 2x a week? 1 weekend day and 1 evening in the week?? |
