"THEMAT"Considering you have to lose moral for certain spells I don't see why the gypsy village shouldn't have rested XP, it's only fair in my opinion. Along with the fact that PK'ing is part of the game. This. |

This. We are talking about moral internally and will most likely be slowed down.
+ we'd need a DSoma pk village to make it fair.
Other than that I see no issues with Pkers gaining rested.[/quote]
Why the hell would you slow moral down? At this late in the game this would genuinely be a game breaking change, one which I'd urge you to thoroughly think of the consequences...

"GHOSTLORD"Unfortunately as it currently stands the only people who are punished for going Devil are those who play casually. Anyone who goes devil moral to learn a spell will only ever go to -50 if they do it on a gv guard, and will be wicked 5 minutes after starting hunting again anyway. "CARNAGE""SHATTERSTAR"Are you Kidding it is hardly game breaking....., Im annoyed that i leveled to 30, and now people can level there twice as fast. Some things just need changing regardless, rate of moral gain is ridiculously fast and definitely needs slowing. If that means resetting everyone to 0 moral points so be it, but i really dont see any problem with just leaving everyone at their moral currently, anyone who wants moral probably has however many weeks to gain moral before it is implemented anyway.

"SHATTERSTAR"Are you Kidding it is hardly game breaking..... I'm not kidding, try to look at the bigger picture. At this late in the game it would be nonsensical to implement a change of this scale. If they are going to do it then they should reset all characters moral in game to 0 (note my moral is higher than 0 and I already have all devil moral spells so this isn't for personal gain). I fail to see any rational reason for slowing moral though? One of the main attractions to soma for most is PVP.... take that away from it and what's left, the indepth quest system?....

Slowing down moral will in no way have a negative effect on the server, let alone break it. Moral imo is the only massive problem in this server currently and needs changing for the betterment of the server.
The implementation will determine the effects it has, not the change itself. I see no reason why the 110skill can't be altered to wicked moral, may help the adjustment slightly. Not a massive fan of moral going to 0 but for the same of the server I would be willing to take that hit. I think only a handful of the server would be against a change such as this. People seem to overreact saying it will kill pvp. That's just not true. Would improve pvp for all parties, rather currently favouring the negative moral pkers against the angel moral pvpers. I went through a pk phase in esoma but mojaroty of my time was as an angel moral char hunting down pkers. Why should we be deprived of hunting down devil moral pkers with this current system. Yes we could pk but that's not what this moral system is designed for.

Moral imo is the only massive problem in this server currently and needs changing for the betterment of the server. Currently the risk of being devil moral equals the reward from successfully pk'ing... There is no risk because there is no reward. If you make being devil moral a choice, then people should have to make that choice between reviving and warping to town. Not using resis as hsoma's only barr sink.

The characters for it seem to be the ones who sit on Angel moral with no PvP interaction other than holding hands with the rest of the server at GVW, I'm sorry but I fail to see that as an impartial argument. Same could be said for my posts however I've experienced the almost full spectrum of moral having been anything from Devil to Virt.
You'd run into the situation of even fewer black mages on the server as well as moral/level ratios being all kinds of screwed up. For a player to get good moral starting off for light sword would be in their 30's unless they conned on brics for a large length of time and the virt for Firestorm would be ridiculous if a player had ever gone black and wanted to change magic class. Their would be little to no pkers for you to hunt if this was implemented. I'm still failing to see why it needs changed currently? There are NO players in game who are subject to constant PvP/Pkers and are entirely faultless.

I hope that the suggested change comes with a plethora of other changes that compliment it. The current system benefits the person that dies non-grey in pvp. So, let's say someone follows you around mob stealing and harassing you which is well within the current rules, you are faced with a few choices:
Ignore this person and just let them use you as a tank. Warp and try to find another place to hunt until they locate you again. Pk this person to try and make them leave. All three of these scenarios you are losing out and there is nothing you can do. We will end up with a game full of angel morale players that all just meta-harass each other. Pking is not a problem, every person has the opportunity to warp, revive, tp, pot. I don't see why there is a need to try and reduce the amount of pking that goes on when pking is already an utterly pointless exercise.

Would also have to revise fully how moral scales in line with the tier of monsters you hunt. Anyone who hunts predominantly Nightmares or BLG are screwed for moral on the current rates never mind half of that. The slow at 30 and then 45 moral points would mean no player in game seeing angel for a substantial amount of time if all moral was reset to 0 and esoma rates implemented.

Have been an avid pker as well as not. Im posting from an unbias position. I think its cowardly to pk, go devil, then quickly regain moral within an hour so there is no chance for retaliation from someone who does not wish to lose moral. Simple system really. *edit* agree black mages need some tweaking, but believe that is the case regardless of this change and should be discussed independantly.

It worked fine for years in esoma. It's been a few months here and most see the need for change. It will stop the opportunist pretenders harassing if people have to make a conscious decision to go devil.
Esoma rates would benefit the server. Maybe increase nm and blg moral gains to counter end (current) game mobs being so slow.

I can see your point and where you're coming from but in certain places I disagree, there's ALWAYS a chance for relaliation mate no matter the moral. It's just the person has made a choice that thier blue name matters more to them than gaining revenge. Personally if someone was to pk me or whatever and at that time they're devil moral and the next time i see them they're moral+ I'm still going after revenge regardless I'm not going to let it slide just because they're not devil anymore but that's just me.
