Evasion Experiment
Donor Mob : Stige Attack Dex of donor mob : 18 Base Dex of subject player : 131 Mob attempts to hit per minute (H/pm) : 40 Total mobs engaged throughout experiment : 8 (at once) Duration of each experiment : 5 minutes Mitigation : Average per 1 minute Experiment 1 – player naked & unequipped 50 H/pm (79% evasion) - naked 40 H/pm (83% evasion) - naked, with bow aura Experiment 2 – 10% total evasion parts equipped (nothing else) 21 H/pm (89% evasion) -no aura 10 H/pm (96% evasion) - with bow aura 4 H/pm (98.5% evasion) – with 2 x RoKs and bow aura Experiment 3 – 20% total evasion parts equipped 4 H/pm (98.5% evasion) -no aura 4 H/pm (98.5% evasion) - with bow aura 4 H/pm (98.5% evasion) – with 2 x RoKs and bow aura (Apparent) Conclusions 1) Maximum achievable evasion (with no evasion parts) is 80% 2) Minimum requirement of 20% evasion parts required for 99% 3) Dodge aura is 8% evasion and counts towards the required 20% Notes 8 Donors hitting 40 times per minute for 5 minutes = 1600 swipes Results (above) are averages and not rounded. Rounding could easily bring the figures to the expected/desired results. It is accepted that the control amounts are small It is accepted that the RNG can bugger up anything/everything It is accepted that these results are not “conclusive” It is assumed that a player will need (defence) dexterity of 50 or more over the mob There may be other factors with different mobs 8) Jac

Evasion Experiment (2)
Donor Mob : BLG Attack Dex of donor mob : 112 Base Dex of subject player : 146 Mob attempts to hit per minute (H/pm) : 40 Total mobs engaged throughout experiment : 7 (at once) Duration of each experiment : 5 minutes Mitigation : Average per 1 minute With 22% total evasion parts equipped and Dodge aura they hit 3 times per minute (average) which equates to 99% evasion. With 12% evasion parts equipped and Dodge aura 8% (equipment = boots, helm and 2 x RoKs) they hit 10 times per minute (average) which equates to 96% evasion In the second experiment, the total defence dex is 166 (+54 over the attack dex of the mob). Of the 166 dex, evasion parts make up 20% (2 x eva parts (10%), 2 x RoKS (2%) and Dodge (8%)). Yet the overall evasion rate is reduced by 3%. What is going on ???? 8~() Jac

"JAHEIRA"I always though bow dodge gave 10%, down from 15 I believe bow dodge is 8% and knuckle dodge is 10% |

Bow Dodge is 8% - click F11 and look at "power" on dodge aura.
The +50 dex requirement over attack dex in the above experiments is a faulty premise. I have a spreadsheet full of shit atm but I will get there ..... (with a little help!) 8) Jac |

I have and it winds up poop ....
I cannot get 99% evasion with 20% evasion equipped ... but can get it with 24% evasion equipped. I gained another 4.0 dex and tried again with 20% evasion and still got raped. Can't figure that. 8( Jac |

Found (Thank you Qiang) a post from the hallowed Finito on the subject;
AttackDex = dex + item dex DefenseDex = target dex + target item dex HitDex = AttackDex - DefenseDex HitDex == 0 then HitRate = 50% HitDex < -50 then HitRate = 20% Every 1 dex above is +1% evasion until 99% (49 dex above is the maximum 99%). Every 1 dex below is -1% evasion until 36% (stops at 14 dex below). Every 2 dex below starting at 15 dex below is -1% evasion until 23% (stops at 42 dex below). 43 dex below is 23% 44 to 49 dex below is 21% 50+ dex below is 20% After have got a HitRate from the above. HitRate += Accuracy on items. HitRate -= Target Evasion on items and evasion from aura. HitRate is then kept within the bounds of 1% and 99%.

And, not to be stopped there, the very same Mr Qiang valiantly undertook a most superb experiment;
Dex and evasion required based on gear. 3%set = need 50dex over + 8%bow +2RoK's = need 44dex over + 8%bow 4%set = need 50dex over + 8%bow (dex capped at 80% +16% from set, +8% from bow = over 99%) +2RoK's = need 30dex over + 8%bow 5%set = need 50dex over +8% bow = need 30dex over +2RoK's and 8%bow = need 20dex over 6%set = need 36dex over +8% bow = need 22dex over +2RoK's + 8%bow = need 10dex over 7%set = need 28dex over +8%bow = need 14dex over +2RoK's and +8%bow = need 5dex over *The RoK's are based on the min evasion, you could run a few % less eva or dex and rely on the RoK's to max roll but i don't think its worth the damage you take having 96%(100%)-98%(50%)-99%(25%) instead of 99% constant. There seems to be some form of rounding going on, so the numbers where it says needing between 14-42dex may be out by +/-1dex atm its a headache seeing what works on paper and in game testing be out of line ever so slightly. 8) Jac
