As it stands these are never viable to punch, Conti abs have 90 defence, Wbm have 100 yet the mob in between has over 115 defence ( i dont know the exact number).

Could this be changed please? not asking for the mob to be made faster overall, can something be done like lowering there defence but also lowering there exp? so overall its basicly still the same, just die abit faster and give less exp compared to taking longer and giving more exp, im sure im not the only one that wants to punch something in between Ab and Wbm, for sure when we dont own conti

As it stands right now i cannot punch anything but conti abs by playing the game how i like, if i want to punch without owning conti right now i have to log to gain rested then come back after a week offline because its simply faster todo so

I guess this would also allow people to train there abit earlier aswell, which will stop dsoma from suddenly being pretty empty everytime we dont have conti, with the way % is right now we wouldnt have conti for weeks if the humans actualy turned up like they did today (we even had a huge devil turnout)

On a side note: any chance of some more hints on another dsoma recipe please :D

Someone told me ingame KL aren't hunted that much by melee's either. Can we have some feedback from their point of view?

Slightly off topic but:

"FUJITORA"Devils are at fault too, not just humans, for cutting deals with humans, being friendly (obviously you cant blame someone for that.) The same devils will probably come along soon and moan about why their % is so low, Im not saying this is the only reason why it is so, but it certainly contributes.


After orange "accidentally" walked of the stone, and whether it was fixed or not, supposedly so you could punch ABs for the past week, humans should have won the last war resulting in devils being 2.5% than they ever should have been. And now here you are moaning about the problem that you caused yourself.

KL are fine the way they are. Any changes to them now are completely impractical at this stage of the game.

I didnt cause a problem myself, conti has nothing todo with this because KL are on IC map, im just stating that kharil lizards are NEVER available for punching wether a melee or a mage, its much better todo conti abs then go str8 to wbm because of their insane defence compared, i couldnt care less if we didnt have conti, but i do care when i cant punch a mob that i probaly should be able too if i can punch the mob after kharil lizards for more % (wbm) than i can even punch kharil lizards for

Fujitora, im just asking for a closer alternative to abs to punch before i move to wbm punching and kharil lizards should be that mob but they arent because of crazy defence, as it stands right now dsoma is empty everytime we loose it apart from those lucky enough at the start of the server to have conti abs for weeks and weeks on end which are able todo wbm

Conti is a must for dsoma to gain maximum stats/time which is alright i guess, but when it isnt the same story for hsoma i can see why they arent moaning, ofc its only a certain stage of dsoma but the AB stage last for most of your dsoma characters life

I shouldnt have mentioned conti in this topic if it would cause people that havnt experienced dsoma themselves to post stuff that isnt relavent to what im asking, the main point of this topic is kharil lizards arent viable to punch, war beast miner are better before and shouldnt be

And yes gravija they are fine only to hit with your weapon at the moment, changing it so u can punch them isnt game changing, if the right changes where made i doubt you would see the difference

Just like ghostlord said when i do go wbm i see level 75s completely skipping lizards and just going wbm with a pocket healer

A better alternative would be too add 10% str/exp to gargoyle fighters which are currently unused.

Too many people have done levels on lizards now and to have them changed so people can punch isnt fair. As lowering their defence also makes them more viable for lower levels (because they will do less damage) to hunt.

I'm also punching and am quite aware how many punches more it is for lizards than wbms. I still dont think it should be changed.

In the end this goes back to one topic, that dsoma mages need/want a new int mob. Lowering KL defence for punching doesn't solve that. Sorry to sound rude but you can't just change a mob 6 months down the line.

I agree with your points grav but as the Conti changes showed that can happen , we hunted there as humans for one night testing gains and the ability to do that was changed very soon after, some humans have been in Conti most weeks devs owned it getting nearly 30 con and never said a word ( fujitora for one example ) for example so in that sence he gained the same advantage no other humans can no longer use. So don't think the 6 months down the line bit would matter too much if enough people wanted this change

First of all im not saying this shouldnt be changed or should, nor do I care, but I just thought I'd post in reply to Asbjorn. Your entirely wrong in almost every point you make asbjorn.

First of all i got the idea from someone in EQ in the first place (Monster (Freak) did con in devil conti brics to 24 or 26, and hes the one who has made this thread anyway, and no one "never said a word" back then. I essentially did that, on a higher monster.

You entirely miss the point entirely where Isylver specifically stated that you can bypass BLG and NMs int caps by hunting in devil conti. Besides you can gain the exact same 30 con in numerous ways, (Prismatic entity / Raro / even at the farm for very little %. (Note here, i cannot get to 35 con instead of 30 by hunting in devil conti, whereas it was theoretically possible to get to 193 str in devil conti rather than the 171 on blg) Isylver even came by whilst i was hunting there and said it was a clever thing to do.

So jog on.

Nerfing Gargoyle Fighters would be very helpful for when we don't have conti. If we want to nerf them I suggest reducing their dex greatly.

If we go by that theory we can never ever change anything that would give new players an 'advantage'. Not to mention the topic isn't about better stats either but only slightly less defence - which would turn KL from a rarely used mob into the standard lvling path, which was the whole point of adding the mob I assume.

I don't see how a new mage int mob came into the picture. If Monster was truly after that he wouldn't be punching, at all.

He's punching because hunting on current mage monsters is rubbish for gains.

Yep, if i cant get a new mage monster and i cant punch the right mobs,how am i suppoes to ever get good gains?

Right now i have to wait for rested and the punch the nasty wbm for 0.50% a hour on rested to get anything decent
