Windows 10
Settings in start menu Time & Language Region and Language on the left Make sure preferred language set as English UK Under related settings, additional keyboard settings, make sure theres no other type of language set as alternate input, or different settings for different apps/programs. Windows 7 Start menu in search bar type "intl.cpl" Click keyboard and language tab Click "change keyboards" option button Make sure english UK is ticked and selected, click "add" and find it in the list. Click OK till everything closed down Bottom right of desktop screen near all your icons for wifi and sound etc, click "EN" and select english UK If you cant remove English US or it keeps resetting to that, its because an app/program on your PC is applying the US as your default to be used, kinda like apps having permissions to do stuff, they get to change language input at their preference. Something like Microsoft office has been known to do this and it requires changing the language settings in that program to want UK, then going back into the keyboard list, adding US manually, then removing it from the default input language list again yourself.

Just to add to this, it seems my windows settings is using us keyboard layout, and it's this thats reverting my keyboard layout to us, normaly id just delete the us keyboard setting but it won't let me, changing the language of the setting option requires a reboot what iv not got round to yet, as when the keyboard setting annoys me is when im ingame lol
