I'm still not there yet, but getting to the point where I'm going to need to know about these things. Has someone done a guide or anything?
Like what does a RDT do? Is a direct upgrade or is it used to craft an upgrade item. Above is an example I could literally ask that about every upgrade item. I know what a TOE, Keen Eye etc. does as I did that on an old pvp server. Any help would be much appreciated, I'm sure this has been discussed loads before so thanks for your patience.

You may know this already but this is a pretty good introduction into what to upgrade first or aim towards to make your life easier.
So basically for your first character, most people end up with a str weapon (that is, everything apart from bow), they may dabble in other ones and some magic, so as you get to mid level 70+, you start to really feel the pain from big hitting monsters, even Warmess and Palus to start with and then Shanis and Beast lord guardians etc. Those monsters also have high dex, so a way to compensate for those big hits and high accuracy shots from them, is to work on an evasion set. Gives you more staying power and saves on dura too and makes your HP pots last longer. This ordinarily is the first set people make for themselves. To make it you need to make or buy Dragon Pills. +1 on a item will give you 3% evasion and successive upgrades an additional 1% upto +5 (or 7% on a single piece of armor). To make Dragon Pills you need a Nahwans Blood and a Lich Jewel. Nahwans blood is either best found from Devil Fish or Palus, or can be made from 10 frogs, 15 white tiger meat and 5 herbs with the help of a crafter / your own skill. Some people may just buy their eva armor ready made, some make it. Make sure you get Hero Boots I from the Mercanary map to start you off with a cool 5% evasion but be warned I think its not upgradable, so don't even try it or it may break. The main goal though or focus should be on getting a speed upgraded weapon, its often a longer journey and more expensive but it makes levelling etc just far easier, nicer and also profitable. Beyond that you should look at accuracy items and make an accuracy set. By then, you may already be looking at INT and magic training and going down that path but that's where to start. Crafting is helpful, obviously getting SR allows you to maintain your own armor / weapon sets. Keep your frogs, herbs, large livers and anything else that drops. Don't ever sell items for barr. Trade items for items and keep an eye on the emporium to get an idea of values.
