It doesn't filter out world shouts
but if you turn off Zone shout, it does (but also filters out !) Is this something you can look into Finito? I have this vague idea that when they implemented it in Esoma, they had trouble with it or got delayed? |

Zone chat and World chat are not separated they are the same thing. There is just a check in the code if you are level 100 or greater then it will send to everyone and not just the zone.
Also World chat is not split between Human and Devil and opposing race chat is not masked. For it to work would need to add a separate world chat which uses something else other than just "!". Will want to also decide on exactly how it would function (if it should be separate between Human and Devil, what level requirement, stamina requirement, etc).

Well in that case.
Make them separate as all the trash talk is in World shout please. Split out Zone (!) and World and map World to (^ or % ?) and so that World button filters out just World shout. Raise requirement to level 110 for when patch arrives. Raise stam consumption to 25% of stamina so that people 'cannot' as easily have conversations or slanging matches on there. In any other game, world shout is meant to be a privilege to use Or if you are worried people will quit if world shout is more restricted, leave the last requirement out and make it similar stamina use as ! shout. Would be just easier with a cool down of 1 minute before you can shout again in world shout though. As for Devil Soma and Human Soma, it would be good if they were purely for your own world and not for both races and be used differently to 'rally' the armies but... I also think world shout does create some missing communication between both worlds... Though perhaps a very rare, 1 time use scroll can be introduced as a craft item allowing you to send shouts over the void...

Dont see the point of changing anything, change it and ppl will still shout in world, they have arguments in world shout wilst stood next to each
And I wouldn't want race chat removed, could split it but then the game would just feel quieter |

or change world shout to !@ which could then be sent out using a separate chat packet and then filtered out
and then you could make the world toggle apply to just this. similar to how !! works |

Well separating it from zone shout is at least one thing that can agree upon. Then at least can have it filtered and it also allows those who have access to world shout to just use zone shout when needed.
