Hi,
I remember from esoma that it was viable for a mage to heal in the early levels, can anyone confirm if this is worth doing and to roughly what magic skill would be a good target? :) Thanks |

"RAZOR"Hi, It all depends on your play style and what mage you want to build. If you want to make a punch mage - healing would be a good way to get black & staff skill. If you're going pure int, I wouldn't bother at all since that's one of the fastest lvling paths in Soma. For MP it's completely useless as that is calculated. As for how far you should go... Well, it all depends on how much you can take. XD

Healing is a viable option, however, to be blunt - a massive waste of time.
I highly recommend simply training INT via casting until the 100-ish mark, for where you're able to hunt magic monsters without any gear. From that point, you can do a couple of punching levels (naked) on the INT monsters without worrying about potions/repairs. This will net the same effect, and each monster will last long enough for you to be watching a film at the same time! As Repede mentioned, mages are the fastest to level in the game, however once they hit their magic damage cap (all spells have one) their leveling speed comes to a near halt. On Esoma, this happened at about the level 60 mark, on this server, the damage cap is still in place, but it's slightly higher, allowing this "brick wall leveling speed" to be hit much later. (Speaking from one of the only 2 mages to reach lv90+ on Esoma)
