Does 200staff skill give MA bonus or only melee dmg?

No MA from skill I’m afraid. I made a post about it in ideas section. Needs overhaul.

Hopefully this is overhauled along with a decent boost in new staff MA if new weps are being boosted to make melee better in RvR.

Or a staff with ma + added Eva or something

Evasion from a rvr perspective (in regards to adding to a staff) is pointless. My main has 136 dex, 10 dex in accessories and 32% evasion with knuck dodge aura and devils rarely miss hitting me

One way is maybe having spell damage caps increased :P so that as you progress to high levels on Int and gear up you reap benefits that way, rather than say a super powered spell. Or an aura that increases cast rate to counter rapid speed weapons a tiny bit so casting is a possibility.

"BRAINSTORM"lets not make mages even more OP please :) thanks mages actually have a very hard time in pvp, against base weps we are op, so against devs yeah I agree. Pit a mage against a +8 bow or any other weapon tbh as we have to stop to cast and then repeat the same sentiment, mages as a stand alone build suck horrendously, which is a shame as I love mages and will still continue to play as one, but i'll never paint a lemon gold, it is always a lemon. This game was never designed to have a large amount of +6/7/8 weapons cutting about in PvP, it changes the rules and balance for casters, it's why I hardly ever go to gvw, no real point other than to show up to simply add to the numbers attending. If melee damage is boosted without any thought towards mages as a stand alone build, it will just further remove the possibility of a human mage as a viable build from the game. The only real use for mages right now is pack attacking where numbers allow for most of you to die with casts still going off, or sneak attacks with one casting weaken. Open pvp is pretty much dead on arrival.

"CHOJINE""BRAINSTORM"lets not make mages even more OP please :) thanks Fast weps have always been in soma, granted it may not have been planned for this many to be about, the way it was designed Hsoma mages had a 200? Max spell damage, which has already been increased massively, not to mention proc gear adding even more huge damage and the ability to one shot

If we could get a few hits off i'd be happy :P the int damage argument is moot, imagine if melee weps could be interrupted, wouldn't matter how much damage they did, really fast weps would ruin them.
People lap up melee changes but one person moans about mages and the sky falls :P Ask yourself this Sam, when was the last time you saw a mage able to hold their own in pvp? Or even get a few shots off tbh, in Hsoma (cannot comment on d soma). I would genuinely take my damage being halved if it meant I wouldn't be interrupted

What do you mean give it a rest? You’re playing the most OP class in game and turning down the opportunity to have another class on a level playing field. Literally 10 IQ.

Mages are more than fine, how do you stop a precast one shot from happening or 5th axe and free casting time, Two of the most geared PvP chars, melle/mage Tongskie and Ganonpk. Tongskie 1200/400 - Kills / deaths Ganonpk 1100/100 - kills / deaths Seems fine to me

You do know that most pvp is staged or premeditated right?
If this was arena duel scores against any class and 1 v 1 it would mean something about classes. Your a tool to use that kind of comparison. |
