Ive just come back to play the game and when i open the game (this even happens on the login and character select screen as well as in game) the cursor freezes and stutters and makes the game un playable. I think this is happening on all low res games because i remember it happening on Ragnarok when i tried playing that a few weeks ago. I was just wondering if any of you guys know what the porblem might be.
Im running windows 10, 1920 x 1080 (144hz), 16 GB ram, i5 7600k, GTX 1070. Thanks in advance, Tyler.

Hi Fearme,
There are some settings within Somadevlauncher.ini you can edit and the biggest change you may have found is the resolution upscaling since you last came, possibly? Maybe try the below and go back to a basic res (in window / full screen) [launcher] serverVersionFile=server.ver patchURL=http://myth-of-soma.com/launcher/ serverIP=192.99.150.23 window=0 resumeDownload=1 resolution_width=800 resolution_height=600 always_draw=1 game_resolution_width=800 game_resolution_height=600 resolution_up_scale=1 fps_cap=1

Hey Foxo
Thanks for the advice mate but i already tried that aswell, i also reinstalled the game. I definately feel like its a scaling issue or a dpi issue due to scaling. Its really hard to explain what is actually happening with my mouse the movement is so weird and deems the game un playayble. The mouse seems kind of normal when moving horizontaly but when moving it verticaly its so slow and when i move diagonally its completely messes up and feezes and jumps around :/

its a windows 10 and mouse issue, let met see if I can find some things others have tryed
Copy/paste from others that had same issue 1. Search "Power options" with the Windows search tool on the left -> click on "Change plan settings" -> Click on "Change advanced power settings" -> Click/Expand on the USB option -> put "USB selective suspend setting" to "Disabled"

2. Search "Device manager" with the Windows search tool on the left -> Expand all these options: Human Interface Devices, Mice and other pointing devices and Universal Serial Bus controllers. After expanded click on each of the options with right click -> Properties -> Power Management -> "Allow the computer to turn off the device to save power" -> take the X off that option from each of the expanded devices. From device manager you should also check up the "Show disabled devices" from the "View" menu and uninstall any mouse drivers that aren't being used or are old ones in general to avoid conflicts.
3. If you have an ASUS motherboard (or generally any manufacturer's new one probably has this option) go to BIOS when starting the computer and turn off xHCI by setting it to disabled. Mine was on "Smart Auto". This makes your USB 3.0 ports force to work like USB 2.0 ports if there's a problem with USB 3.0 ports. Updating BIOS is also a good thing while you're at it.
4. Update your mouse drivers.
5. Update your graphics drivers.
6. This is the one that solved it for me and may work for many of you. I accidentally "tapped" my mouse too hard on the mousepad and it FROZE instantly. Now imagine a gaming situation, you move your mouse really fast and you don't even notice that you tapped it hard on the mousepad. I then switched another mouse in and tried the same thing, it did NOT freeze. Then I just simply googled "Razer Mamba Freezing" and found this thread about it:
https://steamcommunity.com/app/730/discussions/0/528398719786237919/
The freezing INSTANTLY stopped after I did with the instructions above and it does not do it anymore. So in short: If you have a mouse that you CAN calibrate, do the exact same with your mouse software that the Razer one instructs. Here's for those who don't want to follow the link to the original post:[/quote]

Have you tried running soma in compatibility for windows 7 or something? Make sure colour is 16 bit.

1 or 2 monitors?
theres a stuttering / low fps issue atm with windows update. disabling 2 monitors and going down to 1 fixes this painful though when your used to grinding with youtube on |
