I've said previously it's great that the gm's have increased the crafting rates, the best news to have happened for the crafters of soma and for new or old players to try there hands on the crafting side of this great game. The trouble is it has created a higher demand for all mats now in abias.
I will use my character for this example, Before the rates increased it was roughly taking 8 hours of solid crafting to gain 0.1 weapon skill which used around 49,500 metal and 16,500 leather. Now with the rates increased the time is around 4 hours per 0.1 skill and around 24,750 metal and 8,250 leather, which by the looks of it it's a win win for me, but that's not the case since when it was the old lower crafting rates I had no trouble nipping to abias throughout the course of the day collecting mats to keep me ticking over, now with the higher demand created by the crafting rates increased the mats are vanishing within seconds which means it's now taking longer than before this rate increase to collect mats to keep me going, in fact if this continues with the lack of mats it's going to take even longer than before the increase so the crafting rates increase for me is becoming more of a hindrance than a help. The crafter in me is enjoying seeing so many players crafting though, reminds me of how it was back in esoma. Happy crafting ;)

Agree, I think in the interest of not wasting peoples time sitting at the npc, it should be unlimited. Is this open to abuse? I can't see how it can be. Bones are still the time gated factor for late game items and this can stay as is.

Since this crafting rates increase, I have to say it's bringing the worst out of people or maybe there just acting normal. Not only have I seen players logging a second or third character to prevent me from getting mats, I've now witnessed a player wait till I ran back to warehouse to put the mats I bought in, to run back to buy more only to find them all gone, so walked into tent/building next to npc to find over 900 Orc metal laying on the floor to prevent me from getting more mats hope you learn your lesson, I always check them tents/buildings when mats just disappear far too quickly, if this crap continues I don't think I'll be here much longer.

I would say restocks would be better if they happened more frequently or there was more restock at time. Maybe do it so we don't take each others stock also. Helps people achieve there goals. Crafting's boring and it takes long enough without all the other 'ballshit' that comes with it. Special repairs are what stopped me playing for ages so i have experience with this system. Fix it please

Please can you look into doing something about the shortage of mats currently due to the demand from your crafting rates increase recently Isylver, Finito.

Raven,
I think I might be able to ease your outlook on this a little bit .... I am not a crafter but I have witnessed the same phenomena (and have been asked to be involved). It isn't that anyone is trying to stop you getting mats for yourself, but rather that they are trying to maximise the gain for themselves. I realise this is tantamount to the same thing but I am certain there is no ill feeling towards you. Just the human greed mechanic. Charity, in Soma, is sometimes helpful and rewarded. Unfortunately, the same applies to gluttony. Prowler.

I'm fairly new to the game and have not got into crafting yet. I'm currently reluctant to do so because of the frustration that many crafters feel due to the lack of availability of mats.I support the request for increased availability/increased quantity of mats.
