Unlimited mats please. A part from Fox, noone has given any argument to why they should be time gated still, and no offence Fox it's not a solid argument.
When I have a day off work I can accrue some mats, but as this is very seldom I am logging on when I can to find 0 mats always. If having a serious amount of mats gave any advantage over someone who didn't then I'd understand, but you still actually have to put the effort in to craft and thats where the time and effort gets rewarded. You shouldn't have to sit around or login every 10 mins to grab a few mats. Tyrese - Can see why you don't have a problem with it, I have 3 clients running and can sometimes run a few mats on my alt, but its not often I get the opportunity to play enough to hunt and sit their with a char afk.

one reason why it's not a good idea....
some ppl with varying types of assistance will buy , craft and sell 24/7.. and barr will become obsolete and worthless. Also similar, is the idea of combining untagged weapons.... crafters will churn out untags all day..combine them..and lo and behold intense weapons flooding the game, making existing ones worthless

Is there a way to make it so each player has a daily mat allowance rather than unlimited mats? This way at least each player would have a guaranteed amount of mats available each day.

Unlimited matts isn't the answer. Nor is trying to craft 24/7 as though its a task you just have to complete which over rides everything else, that isn't fun but if thats what someone wants to do, then they may of course, but a restriction has to still to be in place on amounts because its comparable too...the below things.
Soma was(is) meant to encourage you to do a bit of everything. It was a slog to do CON - It's an eternal process to craft and held you back a little by having low-ish restocks. It was infuriating to make any kind of upgrade and succeed with it It was slow to hunt and progress, sometimes you may not get an SR but even so you still had to get repairs and pots. It becomes tiring focusing on one stat, so you switch to another. I just think that this is a temporary surge that'll pass. I wouldn't up the available matts at T1 but maybe make a couple of exceptions in respect of Wood for other restocks. Seems armorers have always got off a bit easier than weapon crafters... No other craft seems to use linen. Why do most people work on weapon SR first again? :S Maybe the base item / recipe for skilling needs to be shaken up. Maybe all craft classes should have a Linen heavy item like armor does.

bit more copper and wood would be welcome .. maybe a new farm in another town, with some harder mobs and higher grade mats dropping for the crafters to farm for actually making weapons and armour rather than just daggers and shoes.. maybe multiple alt gem drops also.. a few more bones would be welcome as more ppl gain higher skills and want to make things.
Also..we've had new items craftable for weapons and armour..mayb the gm guys could consider making some new recipes craftable for accessories?

Question, if the server population was to increase by 4x. Would the current system work? I'd suggest not, so maybe there can be some sliding scale based on number of online users.
Edit: Yes thats a big IF but not unplausable. |

Don't even get me started on the original soma, 20-30 players at every restock and you was lucky to come away with 200 mats.

Why not just double the restock amounts and maybe add 1 extra restock per soma day?

During the restock period whether it’s the full restock or the random restock it always restocks to a specific value regardless if there were mats not bought. Is it possible that the mats accumulate as I’m sure there are times through the day we’re nothing is bought. You can then give this a limit similar to you wh space (can’t remember what limit is for single space in wh slot).
