To be honest I should have made this thread when the Christmas event started.
Mages have absolutely no chance of getting the drop at all from Blitz. If you open Boss feed you can see all of the blitz kills go to Melee and to be honest no mages go because they already know they wont have a chance due to the insane dps melee puts out vs Blitz. I'd like to add that it's the same case for d4 Grand Devil Guard, constantly farmed by China with 2 Melee chars and killed under 30 seconds so there's really no point in going at all as a game.

I went about 15 times, some busy, some quiet - didn’t get a sniff of a drop. It’s like this for most bosses, obviously I haven’t bothered since, even when geared/stood in town with Xmas boss tp’s on me and it’s spawning.
All bosses need their MD looking at. |

It's an issue many mages are feeling, had a chat in guild today and the consensus was that the server is moving away from mages and to almost unanimous melee, basically returning to test server. There's a reason you only see 2 or 3 mages at an endgame spawn at any given time, because mage usercount has pretty much flatlined.
Whether that is due to people rerolling melee characters or just plain quitting I cannot say.

Recoil issue, mages cannot compete with 400/500rec weapons as spells are slow AF, even if mages were doing sizable damage to the boss (which we're unsure of) they'd get much less in the way of drops/kills.

Agreed, mages are at a huge disadvantage when it comes to bosses, ofc they have crazy damage but their hit rate isn’t high enough to compete with melee chars.
In regards to PVP, mages are plenty of use and are the reason certain guilds are set apart from others, despite the level differences between them. My suggestion would be PVE spells. Spells with a higher cast speed and higher damage that can be used on only monsters so that mages can compete at bosses. Ofc this would also increase the speed of levelling of mages but to solve this, it would only be a case of increase mob’s HP. A different suggestion would be to give already existing spells two different sets of stats. One set informing the cast speed and damage on mobs, the other set for PVP.

"KEKKET"Make spell speed dependant on staff speed If it worked for only pve sure, mages pvp damage is in need of a nerf at the mo that's before speeding it up from F-A+ speed |

"WEEEEEEEEEP""KEKKET"Make spell speed dependant on staff speed Mages need high dam at the mo as it makes up for never being able to cast. If speed is kept the same damage should stay the same also. People only dislike mage burst damage due to not having int, lowering mage damage would just further remove mages from the game. At that point you may as well just delete all spells apart from heal and slow and be done with it.

Weeeep are you talking about Dsoma mages or Hsoma? I have no idea as you’re hiding behind that store char lol, but totally disagree if you’re talking hsoma mages and tbh once all Dsoma have new weapons I totally disagree there would be any need for a Dsoma mage damage nerf, if people choose to have no int they deserve to take big damage.

I’m also against speeding up cast times, for PVE maybe but pvp would be terrible.

We believe there is already a new upgrade for mages but we don't know what it does yet, maybe server should work on finding out what as could be a massive buff to mages. Deamond and malycon gave it a go loosing malys new staff in the process as it ripped at anvil.
