PK Mode.. on off on off on off

Why does PK mode keep being turned off randomly? I understand for WoW and GVW when you get people messing around.
But i just logged on now and don't see a reason for it? I like it when PK modes on, you always have to be a bit more wary of people etc.

Small event earlier, PK goes off to prevent any groups of people getting full control of it. I've no problem with it going off for events, just needs to go back on afterwards so everyone can continue to live in fear of Lordcoos.

ahh ok. Yeah sometimes after WOW it stays off for a few days.
