Struggling to find any motivation to invest time in to soma for a few reasons.... I find it a very slow grind with minimal reward for someone who doesn't have much free time. The lack of forum and ingame moderation / community events also really puts me off.


I love the game just looking for some inspiration to play. When I do randomly log in the game seems quiet.

Just keen to hear from the people that do still play..... Why are you still investing time in to soma? I guess as well I'd like to hear from the GM's why do you guys still invest time in to developing soma?

Please no negative shit from people who don't play I can read any other thread here to find that out.

I play because I'm further than I ever was on esoma so everythings new. I can play it at work also which is a bonus.

The downside for me right now is the lack of moderation and gm presence like you say. I personally feel like its at that point where they say screw it and shut it down. Feels like it just needs some passion injected into it, some form of timeline of "hey we're working on this guys, it might take a year but we'll get there"...

As a kid i never had to opportunity to "really" play soma and loved watching my brother play and thanks to this server i was able to achieve that.

When you compare it to other MMO's there is nothing out there that i believe is quite as good. And for a 10+ year old game i think it personally looks very good compared to say others like albion etc.

I've always been a fan of MMO's and i've played Knight Online,Conquer Online,Eudemons, Legend of Mir

I think it's safe to say we are all here as soma is nostalgic.

omg legend of mir was the first game i ever saw for a mmo, but didnt like the graphics then saw this advertised on the game network, along with mir. i loved that channel heh

Didn't that change to babestation 😂😂I remember watching it on there aswell someone hunting devil warriors lol .

I still play dsoma side cus of the guild were in, struggling a bit since cap and being unable to attend gvw/wotw due to a career move... but still playing :)

Watching them go through each map on Game Network was awesome. I played legend of mir 2 I think for a bit, was similar to Soma

Good times.

Just hit call cap got a few quests to finish and a few kits to make and tweak. My guild also has a GV to try and win 😏

Main reason i still log on really is because of my guild,
Its full of nice guys and we all helping each other with items, advice Etc.
oh and we wanna win GVW once xD

For me it's a way to unwind after a long night at work. It also takes my mind off my daily problems I.e. my very sick dog

- nostalgy
- unwind after day of work
- constant drive to make a proper char with proper gear (this my final char lol)
- some really good friends in game

yeh from time to time i get the DL / Mandemz squad after me but that's only a motivation to keep leveling and working on my gear :)

alot the time im log on is for my guild there my most loyal people i ever seen but we all login for a reason even if its not a big reason

Nice little time to unwind.
While working 8-10 hours a day n coming home to my 4 kids. Nice me time while wife watches the soap cack on Tv.
Bit of a Larry n keep myself to myself in person ( also comes into soma hence in own guild ).
Have a small band of people I talk to on here n spoken to more on here than I have friends out in the real world.
So thanks for putting up with me peeps.
I only play for the will to cap. 5 years in the making n lv106 n time I get anywhere capping it will up again no doubt :).
Try n join in wotw. Occasional gv for a snatch but again normally a solo attempt.
