the idea is for a shop where crafters can place crafted items they have made for new, low level players can buy.

The armours, weapons, accessories that the present shops sell aren't many and are untagged, there's many a time players have trouble finding a crafter to make for them. This idea would help in some way, i.e. I'm a weapon crafter, so I could craft all types of weapons and place all my tagged weapons I make into this crafters shop and set a price in barr for players to browse through, and any that take there fancy they can buy. The shop then holds the Barr until i go back to claim my barr.

To make sure it's going to be used correctly and not players dumping items in and setting a price to sell for 100000000 Barr for a training bow etc, put a charge of something like 1,000,000 to open a stall within the shop, if you decide to close your stall you get 500,000 Barr back.

Look forward to hearing others views or ways to expand this idea.

Perhaps the code for the old auction system could be reused for this purpose. Haven't seen the auction since esoma and can't remember exactly how it worked. If not then it would probably require a fair bit of work to implement.

I assume that the essence of your proposal is to make it easier for new players to get some better equipment, and I definitely agree with that. I do try to help new players with equipment when I meet them, but I certainly don't enjoy spending about an hour crafting 2 sets of rare armor. Also any profits from selling the armor would be negligible to the crafter, since new players don't have anything to offer, not even barr.

Wouldn't it be better to just throw some rare gear in the stores, and even provide a better selection, perhaps all the way to shadow armor (and likewise for weapons)? Then maybe add a few low-level quests that reward the barr needed to purchase the equipment, since pre-vod mobs don't even provide enough barr for pots.

As I'm a weapon crafter I just thought I could craft like half a dozen of each weapons from say silver bow tier to bof tier place them in a stall inside a shop/market put a reasonable price in Barr on them, then if any player trying to get hold of any of these weapons can buy them and would help save time for them trying to get hold of a crafter.
