4th staff aura

Now that u cant cap str and int and seeing magic dmg can be cut in half with the use of a serum i think its time hsoma gets 4th staff aura theres dex mages but maxing int is impossible to cap int with gd enough dex to make anyone miss with decent dex

I think all of dsoma would still be against this purely down to wotw as int nails us and we would have no way of stopping the cast.

Last night was a awesome wotw, huge turn out both sides, busiest I've seen it in years

With the abundance of dsoma archers I don’t think it’d be that bad, the downside would be the few remaining non ranged class players on dsoma side would suffer more than they do currently.

It’d make being a mage at GVW way more fun for sure, currently a hsoma mage at GVW just runs around as a distraction at best really - other than the odd pre-cast shot.

If it could be done for hsoma only
(Somehow gets disabled on conti castle map?)

There's alot of dsoma archer's, yea, but that wouldn't matter due to a hit, just wouldn't cancel the cast.

Before I respecced into wis and the % leveled out I was getting 1 shot by high level Human mages. Dr_evil I think it was you lol

That's the only saving grace we have though on dsoma.
As you guys have spells that can out range our bows anyway xD

I just think the rvr has become very balanced recently so whatever the GM's have done behind the scenes is working for that. I just think this would upset the balance we seem to have at the moment that's all.

Man people aren't ever happy, especially mages.
Mages should be the last class to want more thing.
Isn't the new proc items so OP that you can 1 bang a lot of people?

Hasn't their been alot of moans and request to remove the lock on a target when you feather, which has been granted.

There is been a constant whining of negamare being too hard for mages which kept getting made easier to a point where now 90% of negamare is killed by the only mage that attends it even if there are 10+ melee.

This topic has been brought many times and it is stupid topic unless magic damage gets drastically reduced.
You want to hit more? go dexy mage - you want to cap int then be ready to get interrupted :)

Mage’s only one bang people with 100 or less int because people made the choice to keep their int super low as to basically never be hit by melee, that’s also a choice so I’ve gotta disagree with your points above Dare - maybe if this was brought in melee chars wouldn’t choose to neglect int so much, everyone has to have a weakness but with crazy new weapon attacks tank mage’s will soon be hit constantly, take crazy damage and never cast - that’s not a trade off that’s a borderline useless char bar a pre cast.

Also that one bang is with weaken and a proc or 2 firing, its not consistent.

Maybe instead of dsoma 4th staff add a 4th staff that reduces all melee dmg taken by 50% for maybe 5-10 sec since melee can cut a mages dmg in half with a serum if ur 1 hit by a mage thats ur own fault tbh either add 4th staff aura or put a cd on serums

+1 would be nice to have thouse couple casts for gvw even while being hit.

Will make a nice change from pre casting running into throne room getting the cast off then trying to get back out the room again to pre cast one more ...

Even more needed with new acc necky now, tank mage becoming less and less relevant atm it seems.
