Boss Kills and thier loot.

is there anything that can be done for the boss killer to actually obtain the loot? maybe increasing range on being able to pick up items?

take gorshak for example, even tho its an awesome boss, the amount of time it takes to kill is a lot and only the lucky people who manage to get a spot next to him get to play fastest finger first for the drop. after experiencing him I probably wont join the next one as it requires a lot of people with only the few people next to him being able to loot him even if I landed the kill

is there anything that can be done?

its always been disheartening, even when sylv spawns mobs and player feed says iv killed 2 boss's iv end up with no loot

would love if drops could be unpickable till the killer of the boss picks up 1 of the drops, then it becomes FFA

Two things I'd like to add,

1) appreciate the boss being random, but can it have a minimum of 1 item? Been to so many gargs and shiros with nothing at all dropping

2) agree about the boss kill.

3) I think for the sheer size and scale of gorshak that random people who have hit him should get loot.
You could have 45 people kill him for 1 person to get the loot .

I don't agree with who ever gets the last kill gets first dibs on loot, what if you've just got there, hit him 10 times and someones spent an hour bashing away at him? I agree that the drops should be alot more spread out, so instead of just having range 1 (8 squares around the boss) maybe have it range 2/3 so everyone has a chance, even people at the back

If I'm not in the 8 surrounding the boss I will heal a guild mate who is. If there is none I'll leave.
The multi dropping does allow for those at the bottom to possibly get something.
I think with a boss like gorshak etc that takes 45 mins to kill then rewards should go to the killer.

i think the way it is now is ok, if 6 items drop their is a chance at 6 people getting loot if someone outside gets the kill, however a boss like gorshak i would feel should have a minimum of 2-3 drop rate, it was a bit disheartening after 2 hours and 5 minutes of dealing with the boss, dura rape, devils, and also me holding in going to the toilet for a significant period of time for it to only drop a shard, im not saying i expect a tagged azsure staff every kill but a weapon would have been nice. we want to keep attendance at this boss as high as possible and it was nice that as the encounter went on more people showed up as they came in from work/uni ect to make the final parts a bit faster.

Not gonna lie, was initially very very impressed with the boss but 2 hours later I was like ZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzz don't have the time or patience for 2 hour+ bosses I'm afraid!

Just to throw this out there, how about some sort of bonus boss point system, such as an example where you may get the drop or you may have 20 other people in the way of you so no chance of getting a drop, but with every hit to a boss earns you points and once you have so many points you are able to receive gifts, could be things from rested potions to a high amount of points for a weapon etc.

Like the idea of drops dropping at random range, and I think gorshak drops need increasing, as 1 shard for the ammout of hours put into him , will just end up ppl not turning up and the the ppl that do turn up will be there even longer thus not worth the effort and become a boss not hunted

30 ppl there and still taking 2 hours to kill is 60 man hours into 1 boss for a shard

Not saying he should drop epics but with 30 ppl there he needs to drop at least half of that at range so the drops aint togeather, give him more of a mixed drops, new weaps, shards, upgrades , bone armor, min jewels, barr

Have to admit, with Gorshak I was kinda hoping that it would drop something like 10 items to give a wide range of people a chance. For 2 hours of time, for 1 person to get a drop. Is not motivating at all. Especially when regular ppl are having to compete against clickers also.

I think Gorshak needs changing. I think the other bosses are ok at the moment. Especially that they now announce themselves

The top end bosses don't have to just drop top end weapons either, they could drop tagged rap/apus/hom etc with a range 8+ as well as gems, it's well worth it considering the amount of time and effort that goes into a weekly boss spawn

Perhaps we could take a slice from Legend Of Mir for boss drops? On that game a boss mob can drop several items in various sizes of grids, this is usually a main item and then some lesser items, along with hp pots/mp pots/crafting items then several mounds of gold. Perhaps something like that can get introduced where lower level bosses drop 3 grids of items while a top end boss can drop 5/6 grids?

I quite like this idea. I do think there should be some system in place where it
A) drops a minimum amount of items
B) always drops a certain quality of item ie, always one shard and or new weapon as well as 2-3 lower items

Like this idea for bosses in general, gorshak needs to drop more if there going to be 30+ ppl to kill

Think shards need to be changed to tradable also, as it stands farmin pos is easyer to gain 5th, 4th staff will be along time off

Good idea ghost.

I am not saying every kill should drop 5 legendary weapons.

But gorshak had 20 people hitting for a good hour. That's basically a mini event twice a week if lucky on the scale of gvw and WotW. There was a lot of coordination going on with healers and curers keeping poison off everyone.

Everyone seemed a little deflated with only one drop. As the kill took so long, plus you have to win WotW to get the chance.

As suggested maybe Drazil weapons and blg drops could be introduced? Even if it to "pad" out the drops. Even new accessories or crafting items. But useful items that are not game breaking!

Also, I think Pamoth, Shironim and Garg should drop minimum of 1 item. I've been to kills where 0 dropped and kills where 5 items dropped. Seems strange to me!
