Seems a lot of players are not going to other games and with the release of vanilla wow next month i can only see it getting worse.
I know isylver has had a lot on irl so please note this is not atall aimed at him as he is going through a lot. But i have an idea what might help. A lot of people now use Patreon - https://www.patreon.com/home This is a way for people to donate to something in return for something. Median XL a D2 remake had some small rewards if you donated 5 dollar a month for example. So maybe with enough patreons we could hire a developer to take the strain away from the dev team. I mean there have been 50+ threads in ideas and suggestions that could be looked at for starters. Some examples of patreon tiers. $5 a month - monthy item package inclduing X ammount of buff pots, SR tokens, rested pots. $15 a month - above + access to a 1 day a month event with bosses or something in the blue zone. $30 a month - above + a vote to this quaters update on game for what to be added plus your own statue placed at a point of your choice in game ) not in town or busy hunting zones) Obvs these are just ideas But if you get 30-50 people on this it could easily pay for some extra help in the game to keep things fresh with updated and future plans. Again not having a go at any of the dev team just looking at ways to improve the game even more that is has been already and to keep the UC high.

That's just pay to win and there is enough of that on this game as there is.

Like the idea of patreon but not about giving bonus for it, having higher rewards for ppl that can afford it just feels to much of a pay to win
Patreon should just get the say on the servers way forward ect(dont think players have enough say on what gets change personally) I'd pay for that option, not donated in along time due to item deliverys Also with how long the gms have run with 2 members tells me they dont want others to have access to the server files, and rightly so, it would kill soma with multiple servers

'Saving Soma' is egging the pudding a bit i think.
Dan will 'save' the server when he got time. Maybe a tweak on the anvil.. it's still the biggest obstacle to most players getting upgraded items. There's a handful of players with maxed or near maxed gear that ur average player knows he can't reach in years.. nvm months. Anvil tweak.. a few more drops..and maybe a cap+ when Fin/ Dan got time. I don't think gm's need help. Everything gone fine for 6 years with no problems.Nothing they can't handle between the 2 of them. A few more donations might spur them into action? I'd guess that 80% + of players here have never made any donation whatsoever in 6 years or however long they played. You get what u pay for. And if gm's see no appreciation.. well.... say no more

Maybe the wording on your thread could have been better, it sends out the wrong impression.
I understand the community's frustration at the lack of GM's recently, but this server by all accounts is coming up to its 6th year of running which in my eyes proves the GM's are doing a great job and the improvements on this server over esoma is amazing and it can only get better. Making these threads every few weeks from us all shows how much we all care about soma, but it can always create damage for the UC and not forgetting that the GM's give there time freely we must be a little patient when they are unable to be around in game or on the forums while dealing with real life. We all as the community have our part to play in the future of this great game, the players with YouTube channels to other social media outlets in promoting soma to the world. Keep making suggestions and ideas in the right section on the forums, keep doing videos and posting them on your YouTube channels, make posts on social media and stay positive, and I'm positive this server has years of greatness ahead to look forward to 😁

The only thing Soma needs saving from is these constant put down threads.
Whilst it's quiet others can catch up. Drop rates are still too low though. I did 500+ BLG one day and got 2 herbs and 1 emerald which is crazy. |

"SUBXERO" The GMs have had a few offers of help from various people who work in these roles, they don't appear to want assistance.

VANISH |
I for one would log on and put many more hours in if there was a decent drop rate on a huntable mob. Mags take too much faffing about for me to chill with one finger stuck up my nose whilst clicking away with my mouse on my other hand. Mobs such as trolls and boars just take up too much time to get anything half decent and worth me logging in.
Also think SR would need to be much easier to maintain and more people would be happy to smash out grinding mobs Maybe have SR tokens drop at the rate of rubies or something? Can stack them up and have a mad grind day

Would be nice to have a portal in conti (similar to nega portal) where you can enter and farm new kind of mags/that has a higher drop rate and only top tier items (med rubies, boar weaps, titus/invus etc) and there are no shitty whelp or magus that mess up the casual players hunt.
Every t0 to t1 humans and devils battle each other inside this map and the winning race/however you want to determine it are the only once that can access that area for 1 soma day. This will promote some rvr and new mobs to hunt without the annoyance of whelp and mags.

If there's one thing that's proly pissing off the gm's and putting a dent in their enthusiasm.. it's players who are gaining financially from their efforts.
Maybe if some of these £'s were invested into donations and into the server , we might be getting more soma. And similarly.. the people who are buying items, are pissing off the other players leading to many leaving or not playing anymore. Vicious circle..served only by greed. Spoiling the fun of honest players and just total selfishness. Disgusting. Here endeth the sermon. Amen.
