Remember when you also use to loose stats (even tho after a while people started abusing the system to gain more stats per level)

A long long time ago there was a young mage who wanting to be the best pker that roamed the lands of Soma. The young mage picked on far too many weak players over and over, but the weaker players had friends and these friends were strong. The friends began to hunt down the young mage and began to deal with the mage in the same manner the young mage did to the weaker players until the young mage had lost so many stats that the young mage was no more a threat to anyone.
The young mage then came upon this strange concept that if you gained many stats without going over 99.99% and griefed yourself back down to 00.00% you would still be left with more stats than you began and you could repeat this over and over as many times as you could handle and begin to rebuild your stats back to there former glory...........

Guys,
No bans. Increase rates so newbies have to invest less time before capping and hitting the PvP stage. Make POS or something similar (has to be be capped per char/per soma day etc) and use this to buy unique uogrades. Make maps with stones like gvw where holding gives you exclusive access to a boss summon. Just one mans opinion.- please don’t feel the need to hate whilst disagreeing.

I want to post something without looking like I favor one opinion or another (ex player now).
Way I see it is this. Capped players do this because the things they are 'left' to spend their time on is WoTW/GVW and farming, the latter becoming boring, the former happening infrequently. The only 'dynamic' thing they are in control of is generating PVP, organised or reactive. RvR doesn't happen and Devil Soma is still waiting some actual love so people will play it meaningfully to create a steady player base again. Otherwise, its just a place of peoples 'alts' now. I would say capped people would fight it out for bosses but now account sharing is so wide, people just camp them with other characters (spoiling peoples appetite for going for them at the same time) Once your capped I can only imagine the boredom and thinking "well what was the point" etc and thats where iSylver and Finito are forced into saying "hey, do some PVP, or whatever, enjoy what you now created and 'finished'". Then once your into the swing of pvping, it becomes light hearted, fun even, easy come and easy go. You also have K/D to look after and is one way of measuring yourself against other PVPers especially. Either way some of the rivalry has helped you create even better gear and you may have even chosen to share your gear with others and them to you, maybe even your accounts and theirs. This is the point you can really make some close buddies. As the player base has shrunk (it is also Summer), the pool of people wanting to join in that PVP has gone as have some of the people leveling. All you see is the none combative players winge and moan at not participating or having to take their deaths. To you PVP is now a sport, hey you can even wind people up. You also know that half of the people your competing with have botted / brought items or upgrades and also shared gear, making it a super competitive and team orientated thing in two of the main circles in the game. - Now to me that seems reasonable that players do that but at the same time.... I think everyone has forgotten what it was like to still have your one character, not capped, still leveling, still breaking your main gear, not account sharing and choosing to keep out of the toxicity but also the main parts of PVP until your ready (if it even interests you). Its really easy for any one to say "sure take your 2 deaths and man up" but do they remember or even know what its like to be 4 hit by a level 120 with good gear, even at level 105. Worse if your teamed up on. If it was different people coming along every couple of hours or whatever, it wouldn't be as big a problem but when its the same dudes, its going to piss you off, and for the 'time' element required for Soma, I'd probably consider logging out, or go crafting... or maybe I'll just go play another game with out this kind of problem. That may be a permanent choice for some people. Its just off putting and that's knowing its contributing to someones K/D. Some people aren't looking for or needing encouragement to play 'harder' because they get PKed. And some of you are awful examples of taking it too far. (Dr_Evils post was more about someone deserving a slap and I actually agree with it). And just to put it out there, those that make threats should be embarrassed, honestly. Shamed even. Over a game...really. That's what is ruining the game though, some toxicity but also the fact a few 'teams' of people feel they have nothing to do but PVP without thinking too much about it. On the flip side the casuals, the none capped players, the ones at BLG/NM/Boars/Shaman are the ones who are on the "none fun part of Soma" and at that point where most people stop playing...without bringing pk into it. As for Subxero, no one cares about that it was like a 2-3 years ago, yes it obviously was a problem and gave iSylver/Fin a headache but that doesn't make whats happening now "right" either. Its hurting the game. So there you have it, a pk gap change' would help a little right? But its only worth it as a stop gap and it could cause some capped people to quit? We just need more content for level 85+ (variety) but also something else to do for the capped players, again, a dynamic progressive guild dungeon that spans several hours maybe. Obviously not forgetting the need to equalize all weapons. Make dez less potent. Etc.

K/D is unaffected by 'Slaughter'.
K/D is affected by 'Kill'. Slaughter: Defeated Players 10-15 levels below. Kill: Defeated Players 1-9 levels below. (These values can be adjusted marginally) [A coloured notification message appears informing attackers their target would be considered 'Slaughter'] Player Killers can continue to attack whoever they choose to within the current level range, but their K/D ratio is only changed by fighting closer to their own "weight class" so to speak. I doubt it would be easy to implement such a new system which manipulates current values retrospectively, so it would mean that players who have accrued perceivably impressive ratios would keep those and that's fine. There is currently no incentive for Player Killers to fight one another or the higher level competition, why wouldn't they target us low leveled players, we are an easy numeric? Give them a form of incentive to raise their own competition with a potential reward in tow.
