DL was an extreme noob guild of soma for the first 3 years. Then merged with several other guilds to try make a rival to then the dominate no_mercy, which inturn encouraged more players from the previous guilds to start playing again. No_mercy had completly dominated the test sever, the predessor to this one, for years and years beforehand. There fear was they where gonna do the same. DL was always very likely to breakup after no_mercy was litterally "greifed off the server."
DL really never cared about VK and still dont, the focus was always focused on No_Mercy tbh. And they where just the best organised for awhile. The guild is dead and it wasnt anything to do with VK. People just moved on, the server was dead. The old skype group chat hasnt had a message for atleast 2 or 3 years. It used to have over 70 active people in it at one point with hundreds of messages a day. At its peak, it was by far the largest guild in the history of the server. At the point VK became more dominate, there was prob on 10 left actually playing. I doubt many even have the game installed or even heard of vikings.. same goes for the old no_mercy crew, id say theres prob loads that have heard of VK either. I always see DL this DL that from some vikings guys, it almost seems to the point of obsession. Its just not reflected back the other way. Nobody cares & hardly anyone plays lol. If you wanna know about the history of soma, just ask your pal Yagudo!

Lol quit due to competition, paying people to log on for GVW’s doesn’t exactly quantify competition, as the saying goes: it’s only trace.
In open world pvp you got destroyed if you brought remotely even numbers, hence some of you openly admit ‘we don’t do even numbers’ or even close lol. The Chinese selling gear has personally killed it for me, plus the UC has been slowly dwindling down and on top of that. It’s just a lack of content/much required tweaks tbh, too many band aid solutions like x2/3 events when the deeper issues are left to worsen has also played a huge role for me. (Such as these broken weapons that a lot of us called being stupidly OP after +5 from the start. It was fun while it lasted, I’m happy to have finally capped/semi-geared a char and now I’ll go play something that doesn’t take 1-2 years of playing to become competitive, and when you do become competitive you don’t have to wait around for hours to PVP for 10 mins before VK/Val either warp or bring 3/4x as many men to stand a chance. Soma is way too slow considering the current UC - you wouldn’t save all your money if you knew the world was probably going to end in a year or 2, it’s the same for spending time on a server on a consistent decline. I’m not trying to be negative, genuinely just giving my 2 cents, thanks for the fun while it lasted.

Soma the game itself is pretty decent atm.. increased levelling speeds and drops... maybe the anvil needs a stroke of love.. maybe a few more hi end lev weps dropping from other than nega kills.. tho there are more quests for these now...
There's loads of lev 90-100+ players now trying to level every day.. But a few dikheads offering diamonds for their kills...and ''kill on sight'' world shouts don't help things at all nvm it makes them look like total nobheads.... some of these ppl boosting kd on their guild allies... really doesnt do much for the game. There's a few tweaks that could be made.. maybe the gm's are waiting to see if its worth their time? Everything can't be policed by 2 x gm's, so maybe they waiting for the players to grow up, and act a bit more responsibly. It's really not clever for 3 or 4 capped players to go round pking lev 100s and offering diamonds for their death.. pathetic tbh.. They can pretend as much as they like they are the 'saviours' of soma .. but these iffy behaviours are nothing but toxicity, and help no1 Some vaguely adult and sensible behaviour might result in more gm activity and enthusiasm for them to do a bit more. .

Don't expect anything to improve whilst players who brought toxic personalities and game play such as item buying through PayPal still play the game and actually advise on its 'improvements' with podcasts. Same players have apparently donated thousands of pounds to the server so there ya go.

The ammount of bought and sold items that went on wayyyy before i even play by far tops the eva and dex set i got that went to dust when matty was banned anyway. Jesus ganon had all +8 items and was like lvl 90...so please explain how someone who hasnt even capped yet ends up with 8 x +8 items...you think he just loved mags? Buying and selling has been taking place since day 1 3 years before i played, av heard all the storie of it from ex dl members. Ill even do a video showing all my gear and explain exactly how each item was made/traded if it makes you all happy because non of that was bought. Everything that was bought died with matty end of. Gms traced every transaction between me and china so it was all dealt with 2 years ago. And you think am stupid enough to buy any more off china knowing how well gms can trace then your all even dumber than i thought. All i have read from this thread is... I wouldn't mind knowing the traceability of tabs surely there is no trace once it is used on an item? I stand by my point people are buying items as its keeping the Chinese playing, these Chinese are not playing for fun they do not attend wars/pk's they literally just farm bosses, why is this? I'd be jealous of you sub if I ever saw you kill some1 1on1 , which I never have. The only times I've seen you out of town (especially in the last month lol, nice to see you bought your way back into VK's good books) is when you are with 6 other pkers. I was pretty depressed dying to you for the 1st time to be honest, but there was 7 players in total hitting me. Matty the narcissist.

Self love and a good attempt at deflection. Players calling other players out for shitty deeds doesn't equate trollling. Item buying is extremely damaging to a game community like this, it strikes at the very core of gameplay, especially in a PvP setting, it outweighs any good that player proposes to have done.

He doesnt play anymore because hence he doesn't have any gear. Your not seriously implying that the linchpin in your justification to spend large sums, was a belief ganon bought his gear too.
