Hence why black mages will gain 10 less magic damage from lower level mobs at the same INT and 100 black magic skill, because all lower level mobs use a black magic spell. EG: Spells like iron fist would probably do more damage to someone who has 100 black magic skill than dragons breath would due to the fact they do not have an extra 10 magic defence against white magic spells. An easier way to explain would be treating black/white magics like pokemon type's both weak against each other, but strong agaisnt themselves lol.
