What was the idea / motivation to make drop files spawn related?
Would be much better to make each spawn for a mob have same dropfile. This would solve some issues we have atm with conti LB where only 2 spawns drop apus bow. 2 chars at a spawn and its alrdy packed. Why would only north palus drop small diamonds in stead of all palus? Apus bow is also on the dropfile off apus .. but i been told its a very small spawn area that actually drops it

All these spawns are old spawns. DSoma conti is filled with them too.
Generalizing them is a lot of work unless maybe if Finito thinks of some workaround. Anyway my guess is we might see something like this happen sometimes but I wouldn't give it a high priority either.

each spawn of a certain mob should have the same dropfile |

I totally agree, It's so infuriating hunting a mob like for example LB who I could only take at 80+ dex and 90+ str (still with a pocket healer) that they were dropping 68 str tops spirit crossbows and silver bows amongst other items which are totally redundant when you've reached that mob..
I'm sure it wouldn't be to much hassle to restructure drops to fit the stats to hunt them (I'd be happy to help where I could) /gand

also have to remember that 1 spawn of mobs can only have 15 drops, when a mob has more that 15 drops it means there drops are spread out onto different spawns
ye would love to see this increase so all spawns have chance to drop same items, but think this would be a lot of work as this is also a way to make items rarer (spawn of 2 mobs makes a item harder to get than a spawn of 9)

Of course things will drop differently in different areas it's part of the game. If we made each spawn drop the same: - there would be no competition for spawns - we'd be limited to 15 items per monster - conti would become less needed. It's not going to happen

Guessing its staying as it is then! Tedious soma FTW!!
I don't buy into conti being less needed though. Enjoyable and rewarding conti = Desirable conti. I spent all last week between LB / Draz / Liz i got jack all useful to me. Very frustrating. |

each spawn then would have a different drop rate of each item Meaning that yes the middle LB drop apus bow as is (or where ever it is that they drop), but the rest have a slight chance also
