Going to kiss ass here and say well done to the volunteer guys for their hard work with the content changes in the last few weeks. Town looks great, the music is great and the new +50 route changes are a breath of fresh air.

Hopefully you'll continue you Make Soma Great Again!

There is alot of debate on Discord on reasons why this EXP rate should stay as is.

1.Theres way more positives compared to the negatives of it.

2.It Retains all the people currently playing at this event.

3.It allows people to enjoy the lvl experience more

4.Players wont need to spend 6-12 months to cap just to gvg/ wotw/ ctf/ pvp (HAVE FUN)

5. *Important one* It allows Fin and community devs to hard focus on purely end game content, expansions and much more. We have so much potential to add alot more to this game,

I sometimes think some people dont realise the scope of how huge this is.

6. It retains every player and keeps everyone happy and allows the server to have a stable healthy usercount that appeals to all types of gamers, and not just harcore.

7. People wouldnt be bored and just stop playing because we have a community development team that is now focused on end game content and expansions.

I literally went to DW and Warmess with a party of 6. 5 of which was people that havent played the game in a long time, including me. Imo all this effort will feel like such a waste if we loose this.

Lets retain it, and look forward to hearing of quartely updates and expansions that could HUGELY give Soma the potential to appeal to all the people that have left and not returned over all these years.

IMO....

Keep these rates and drop rates on all current mobs

The economy is picking up am seeing trading again.

But next patch create a new end game mob and maybe new event.

Give a new tier armour/wep/access that can only be used by lvl 120 but make them hard to get and lots of RNG rolls so everyone dsnt just have the same items

this way other players can catch up with the current lvl 120's gear i.e nice weps/armour etc. As they can get lots of stingers/eps/rubys when they level now. So can make a decent build by cap and maybe a few weeks at mags.

And hardcore/capped players can work on new things but will take time to get and incorporated into end game things.

But make pvp/RvR more end game so a re-haul of current events and maybe a few new ones.

If every weeknight there was a huge PVP/RVR event this makes people want to log on a few hours in a evening to play,

Make weekends the grinding time so weekends can buff drops/rates a little maybe if there was enough donation (with a clear advert or something that the money is spent on, this became a touchy subject recently with some people )

But ye its great to see people playing, and i can see its worth playing a few hours a day at these ratesin 2019

If nothing changes at all after this event at least put rates to 2x

If it drops from 3x to normal soo many people will drop of like the last 2x boost we had

2x is where the server should be now tbh.

Any mob that has highter str than you gives you the best possible stats. So instead of fighting mobs with +50 str for ultimate gains, you can fight any mob as long as your str is lower.

rates have to stay so taht game to be competitive and not just fixed upon players whims. Whats next npcs selling +5 stingers ? why not ? it would bring one to endgame content in no time.

or even why bother? you could be top stats at lvl 120 whe ncreatin new char.

I've made a new char for this event and the changes and being truthful.. I've more fun playing the game in the last 2 days than vi have in the last 18months slowly grinding 2 different builds

The rates need to be permanently fixed to what it is now imo

Dan if you read this then you know how I stand on the game and how it is currently from recent chat we had.

Look at all the positivity now

Its what the community wants and needs

I agree with all previous posts and input from players on this thread

Personally i think as it stands these rates are too fast to be permanent, I'd say if it was 1.5x or 2x the normal rates that would be more than enough i reckon to cater to those who don't have much time as other players and this way still be able to compete in terms of capping.

But then again if you have someone that has enjoyed capping a 120 character they could go on to make different builds such as a dex mage,tank mage etc the list is endless..

But i am currently enjoying the event so thanks =]

Bit too quick experience wise to be permanent. I'm getting str in 1 min 10 seconds at 150+ str. That's too fast.

Be nice if the experience could be dialled down a tad to like 1.5x but keeping the drops a bit higher.

But regardless, great changes and event. Well done guys :)

Why is dex/str at 95 taking 20x longer? Oo


95 is the big stat slowdown and it's also the point where you have the lowest attack / dex within that slowdown so you get less exp per hit and also hit less.

If you do pure bow, I always find 95-120 str/dex is the real slow spot. Once you've got dex done and starting bashing things with axe with an 80%+ hit rate, stats are so fast.

Keeping fast rates for leveling etc would be fine imo if you added more PvP events like hold stones for bosses, POS system for PvP kills that you could do useful stuff with etc.

Keep it about end-game farming and PvP and fast rates would work out fine imo.

I know that some people don't like PvP but I think a lot of that is because atm you're fighting out of your weight class and just getting banged.

If everybody caught up to a level where they stood a chance of defending themselves whilst keeping enough incentive for a differential in power based on time spent farming, Soma could be the best of both worlds.

Get rid of immunity and just have some maps as PvP/RvR whilst keeping one or two with PK immunity but with less rewards for those that just want to peacefully farm.

The +50 change we've had definitely goes a long way to improving on what we had so nice one on that - this is more just a suggestion for going forward.

Please keep the rates as they are perminantly

I enjoy playing soma now after so long being away.. the reason I stopped was because it was too damn slow

With the rates and they are now even the RNG is good l
And the amount of returning players...

All this positivity is great for the servers future.

If the rates go back I can assure you I will not be staying

Im not a kid anymore with lots of free time I have a job and a family of my own..

The only negative to this increase imo is towards the Chinese as it would kill off the Chinese item sellers and that's not a bad thing at all..


If the rates go back I'm pretty sure the server will go dead again and this would be the final nail in the coffin for the server and soma
