China dont pk at GDG, im pretty sure u can go there and sometimes if they get the drop they will just give you it as they dont need that specific item drop lol. there should be no excuses for someone not going to gdg, other than they are too lazy to do go

I don't know why people are so obstinate to a couple of polite changes that would just give casuals and randoms more of a chance. "Chance encounters" are good for players and opening up mini bosses to those is a "Its better for the economy" situation. Everyone should want a returning player to come back to TYT with a diamond they cant use for anything and sell it to someone else and so you should want trade at every level of item tier. It ain't about China, don't think anyone is under that illusion.

But it is about those that have multiple chars who have the luxury of logging wherever they want - and though it may seem a shame to shake things up and take away some of those benefits (and lets face it they have many anyway) - its still the fairer thing to do and a healthier choice.

Dungeon 4 lock outs have been on the cards for years but haven't been implemented yet.

Properly making the spawn of Toxic Raro random would be a good thing to not promote multi char / multi account use and that goes beyond just that spawn for aspects of the game. No GM created these spawns so someone could just log out a character and log on just at the perfect time and have a guaranteed gem or guaranteed rare tag tier 2 wep but they are as a result treated that way. And I think highlighting that is really poignant to people like @iSylver.

You want your drops like everyone else does but having throwaway chars doesn't mean you deserve them. Its all time served and that applies to every player (especially every character).

Dear X,

I don't know how you define new players. I think there is few really new players in soma, which I mean this is the first adventure in soma for them. Most of us played the original soma back to 2002.

For me, I am pretty sure that I am new here. I don't know the +50 route at the begining, and get my char at lvl 102 with rubbish like status now, lol... :( Actually, I am planning to start a new char now.

You mentioned the quest thing in your reply. I understand that it is not easy to compete with capped chars, but this is part of the game. As I said, when I only paid 400 hours in a game, I am not expecting that I can beat someone has played for years. Even in this occasion, everyone still has the chance to kill these bosses you memtioned if you try hard. Besides, the reward of the quest is not essential to keep players alive in this game.

Speaking about quests, do you know that most of Chinese players cant do quests cuz they cant read English well? I am trying to work with the volunteer group to help Chinese players out of this situation, I would like to provide some help in translating soma WiKi (including quest and item/mob names, etc.) Only with more players (both new according to your definition and our old friends) can our soma game thrive again.

And FOXOSAURUS, I think your suggestion might be a solution. But in the end, the same thing will happen. I mean, those who paid more time in game will gain the advantage, that's how soma works.

I agree and letting them have drops by their paid time(better stats/gear) is fine by me and I think everyone agrees but not making it so easy for them just because they have old accounts to logon everywhere with is best for everyone ^^

"APM67"Hi everyone. I am a player from China, and I joined in this server on August this year. It is interesting to see some of the palyers complaining China camping boss and living on this game.

I have conncect with players own chars you are talking about, and I know them since we played the original China server together back to 2002. When the originial server in China shut down, people love this soma game searchered for a place to contiune the adventure in soma, and here we are. Do you really think people can live on a 20 years old game? We chinese players all have jobs to do, some run our own business, some have nine-to-five jobs. Take me as an example, I do research works. And I usually get to my lab at 8:30 a.m., and leave at 9:00 p.m. But my working time is flexible, that's why I can reply you here and may hunt a boss if i want.

Some ppl mentioned that players from China never post things on forum or by scroll. May I ask one question here: how many of the players in server can speak Chinese, or a second lauguage? Or how many of the players here use English as the second launguae?

As far as I know, the other active players in China are poor at English. Sometimes I even need to do the translate job to help other Chinese players learn aura. Some experienced players do this by take notes of what buttom on which page they should click. They enjoy the game but also suffer the lauguage problems. And I guess this is also the reason why they don't reply you on this post.

Soma is a fair game. The more time you put in, the more you'll get.

I am a noob player here, I get my tank char killed when hunting blg by PAPALIA cuz he hates China players (I guess). Also XAVIER killed me for fun during the Halloween events (said by himself). I don't think this will be a big problem. Yes I was angry at that moment, but I won't hate them personally forever. I understand soma is a game with PK and competition. 400 hours I paid in my char, and how can i expect to be a god like char and get the items everyone wants in the game where other ppl spent years?








I understand that the gm's are wanting to add a transaltion for the chineese players. perhaps you could offer your help in this as your english seams fantastic.

Please see FOXOSAURUS comment above yours, as I think that sums things up very well and rather than repeating some of the points he made I'd like to highlight his eloquent comment.

You are interested in maintaining stagnated game mechanics which can be improved upon, I am interested in improvements that support a wider range of players and help toward gameplay diversity.

I don't think boss camping of any kind is conducive to encouraging new players to continue playing Soma (No, I am not suggesting this is the solitary reason that would drive players away).
If there are effective ways that can reduce or nullify that problem, so that player-boss encounters become more varied, this is a positive.
There may be similar problems with other bosses and I would love for the community to express problems with those also. It is by addressing these things during a time where the Community Volunteer Group is actively seeking community response, that positive changes can be implemented.

Notice throughout the entire thread, the main people objecting and saying it’s fine, have previously been banned for being caught buying items from China.

Simple solution: Randomize spawn locations?

For example:

Pamoth has spawned in the Merc area. (random location)
Warthog has been spotted in Abias (random location)

Next spawn:

Pamoth has spawned in the D1 area. (random location)

would it be possible to randomise the T8 bosses?

i know there are like 6 from watching the dsoma shouts,

could they perhaps be randomised so any of the 6 could spawn at any of the locations?

suggestion 2,

i know not all the bosses relate to the T8 i assume just raro?

why not remove GDG from D4 and spawn it in tyt, making it much easier for everyone to attend?

24 hour kill timer for certain bosses. Just like pk immunity, can't attack the boss if you got last hit within a 24 hour period

Although campers would rotate multiple characters to circumvent this.

I think randomization would be the most ideal scenario, time and location.
