Rested Pots in the Tradable economy a good thing or bad?

Author Content Date
since coming back over the last 2 years ive Donated a few times for Rested pots... and paid a fair amount just like many of the community have...

ive Got about 70 Large Rested pots that i bought off the donation store. on a char that i nerfed.

thats £60 gms!!!!!

I have no way of transfering them because they are character bound... I did ask to have them transfered as i thought it was fair since i bought them for money.. but was told NO. not a bash at the gms if it seems that way but most MMOs that have paid services or donation stores have that option to trade bought items,,, and i think its only fair that is the case on soma.... I dont think that bought rested pots should be limited to one character.. they should be tradable ingame same for ones from presents

maybe the gms could code it so Bought rested are different to ingame rested that way they can be monitered or make them stack sepreratly

Not only will people who donated get to effectively use what they bought but it could bring more trading ingame and just to throw it out their.. Generous friends can donate for pots and give to their guildies etc

im sure im not the only one who has quite alot of bought rested pots going to waste...

Should they be tradable i dont know its just my opinion but id like the communities feed back to see if this change could be a positive one overall

At the very least - as you paid for them - they should be transferable to another one of your characters.

I think for your idea to work, it would require the Donation Store items having a feature made in-game where the purchases become instantaneous, meaning after you have cleared your payment on the website, via your account, you can collect your items in-game at an NPC etc.

Having to wait for one person to come online and then they're unable to stay online for very long, and that may only occur 1 day in a week, wouldn't work at all. I've watched players converse about not purchasing as they wanted the item at that time and couldn't wait until the weekend.

Looking at the contents of the Donation Store, nothing in there appears to be game-breaking if made tradable, and as the funds go back to the server, I'm all for everything being tradable. If there was something GM's felt would be too game-breaking to be tradable, then remove those specific items.

I thought I had came up with an easy fix to this, but it wasn't really given any light all those years ago.

I said that upon buying the pots you're given a code (random 10 character code generated by GMs), which corresponds to an item on an npc in-game, which you enter and receive the item instantaneously
