Could somebody also explain to me how x-x works for dex?

Str makes sense because you have min-max attk (df is split to con on d soma) but aren’t eva/accu set % rather than being a min-max %?

Eva and accuracy are held in the bounds of 20-80% purely from dexterity, with additional dexterity giving diminishing returns as you get to 80%. The rest has to be made up from +acc/eva% gear.

It works in the same way STR would really, just affects the chance to hit or dodge instead of damage. Using that armour as an example; On each particular attack roll (attempt to hit) it will pick from either 3 or 4 dex, hopefully in a 50:50 manner, to be added to your actual dex value before going through the hit calculations. This roll will take place on every single attack attempt.

Would work the same way on a defensive roll for chance to dodge.

Out of interest, how much less dex would you need to the thing your hitting / avoiding to be at 20%

Sorry, i made a bit of a mistake on my values there. There's a sort of soft cap with 80% accuracy and evasion in terms of really significant diminishing returns.

Here's a post from Finito from some years back.
"FINITO"AttackDex = dex + item dex
DefenseDex = target dex + target item dex
HitDex = AttackDex - DefenseDex
HitDex == 0 then HitRate = 50%
HitDex < -50 then HitRate = 20%

Every 1 dex above is +1% evasion until 99% (49 dex above is the maximum 99%).

Every 1 dex below is -1% evasion until 36% (stops at 14 dex below).

Every 2 dex below starting at 15 dex below is -1% evasion until 23% (stops at 42 dex below).

43 dex below is 23%
44 to 49 dex below is 21%
50+ dex below is 20%

After have got a HitRate from the above.

HitRate += Accuracy on items.
HitRate -= Target Evasion on items and evasion from aura.

HitRate is then kept within the bounds of 1% and 99%.
