Hey, really having troubles at the minute and cant fix it... Im currently using a macbook pro retina to play soma and have never had any issues... all of a sudden im getting unplayable lag at some points at low as 2-5 FPS. even at 800x600

Ive just been playing Titanfall on high graphics with no issues at all. ive tried clean installing my graphics drivers and a clean install of soma.....

has anyone had an issue like this? i really dont have a clue what to try anymore

Is your CPU going mad to like 100% when soma is running? Theirs a fix to limit the frames of programs but I can't remember it off my head but can get it when I go home, this helped quite a few people getting what seemed like lag but it's just soma hyping up your CPU

Yeah fans loud but cpu load doesn't really go above 50% on any cores. The MacBook runs hot but it always has and yes I have a 4k sony x9005 plugged in... It's been plugged in for months with no issues. The issue first started about 3 days ago after a windows update I think

I recently had a windows update which fucked my laptops graphics card. Couldnt load the aero desktop theme. I ran another windows update and it fixed it itself.

I take it your running windows it on a virtual server? Try reupdating, or a system restore

I've had a few issues with my fans going absolutely tits while playing soma since i started playing, anyone know how to fix this?

I'm running windows 8.1 through boot camp would rather not go through the hassle of reinstalling but I will as a last resort I've unplugged my hdmi cable to my tv and so far so good but it usually starts after ten minutes or so...

Had the same after windows update on windows 8, had to start playing on laptop. Fixed itself after a time, but then windows update happened again and now the lag is back.

if your cpu is going over 50% u need new computer :P

Can confirm this. I've noticed my game running slower on my laptop for sure. The game has started doing something more intensive.

"FINITO"It is caused by the recent windows update. I need to update the client with a patch to fix it again for players with multi-monitor setups.
