Well on human soma going +2 wasn't that hard - it was anything after. 200 craft skill isn't easy to achieve. the hours required time to achieve fully upgraded items is too much for the games age.

Now it only takes you 3 attempts to get a +5 item rather than 5, that's a big improvement imo.

Obviously if we're talking about getting to +8 , its now 6 attempts instead of 8 which may seem a bit insignificant but i was quite surprised they made it +2 100% sucess, i think everyone would agree with me that we where expecting something not as good such as +1 100% or +1 no upgrade but keep item.

However i do agree with what you say about the time required to achieve fully upgraded items for this day and age and community.

I myself have played for probably close to 5 years or more now and still am yet to own a +8 item.

I do feel that might of been badly worded, when i said insignificant, reflecting upon the hours and time required for the age of this game is what i meant by insignificant.+2 helps newer players and people with no time but for long term and hardcore players.

It is a good change the part I'm struggling with is the upgrade / item side to up. Ive been at mags / elders everyday really since I capped ( end August ) and I haven't upgraded any of my items since I decided to go to 200 skill. Whilst saving up my items / weps I think all in all I may have 6 weapons in 3 months worth upping I have a few tabs exc but the wep side of things is the struggle

I personally feel this anvil tweak/change is a step in the right direction :)

The ability for every player regardless of how much time you spend in game is now able to make items 100% for +1 and +2 and you don’t even need to have any craft skill whatsoever to achieve this big plus for your casual players imho.

I do get what your saying though in that all this tweak/change has done is make the real challenge going +3 and onwards, would be nice if the % of success was possibly tweaked to reflect the difference from 100-150-200 but maybe that may change in time.......

But I will stress The current anvil tweak/change is definitely a change for the better and can only help everyone in the long run.

Been going since mid December.I have had 1 hardened horned bow and1 epic psycho crossbow, lots of ep/drog/tabs/bone armour. 2 titus helms f 1 rare 1 epic, 1 titus pads. 2dt. I think if items were less rare anvil change would be amazing but i do feel its a lot of time for not alot really. Then there is the issue of Sd which aren't dropped at mags would be nice to see them added.....I mean if you was farming for weapons and getting decent armor and better upgrades it wouldn't be so tedious but its a grind for skill to use the toes, then EP which are easy enough, but the cumulative and combined time of sd/weapon farming for it to just fail after all the time invested is a joke.

i mean there are plenty of other grind games but they statistics of dorps work out much better than they do right now. the time required is extreme

Yeh i just broke gear so i i was annoyed when i worded it. i do apologise to anyone if my poor choice of words have caused offence. i am just fed up of not being able to get upped items. i get that form the server point of view statistically the success rate will increase. i do 100% get that, but ultimately its still alot of time to invest to get to +2 then not be able to compete cause of people with maxed gear and due to the dynamics of the game. gear is essential to be competitive.

The anvil has been the biggest cause of annoyance to most people that have ever played this great game Soma over the years.

I went through a stage were I couldn’t get another to +2 then a stage were just getting a +1 felt hard at times. At times the biggest part of the annoyance with the anvil is the time spent farming, crafting etc to get all the items you need in place to take to anvil versus the reward from the anvil it can be over in a few minutes and you walk away thinking what the feck just happened to all my stuff??? I’m walking away with absolutely feck all left.

Hopefully this tweak/change can help bring a bit more reward from time farming/crafting etc and have something to show for everyone’s effort’s.

Hopefully whatever Isylver has got planned will bring a bump to it and hopefully bring more competition to pvp . )Hopefully less feathers or stop casting when feathering ;) Would like to see sd added to normal mags to keep them relevant to.

Also while mags are current in discussion... as i brought them up, how do you kill whelps if both your weapons are close range and your not a mage?

I like the idea of the +2 but I haven't been able to make a single +5 always fails after +4 I even try with fails just no luck
