It is possible that we add the help guide to the soma files although it does rid of any mystery the game has.
We were going to look at hijacking compass for completing quests (pointing to mobs etc) but at the moment we're working on other things. |

I agree it gets rid of any mystery but new players will start to play and enjoy it, but they will leave after a short period of time as they have no idea where to go or what to hunt without asking pepole

Problem with updating the maps is they would become out of date fast. It's relatively straight forward to do (aside form the alpha mask). Perhaps a short term solution would simply be useful coordinates to monsters in the help file.

They only ppl that stay with this server, are the soma hardcore.
Back in the day the mystery was great. But unfortunately times have moved on and to attract new younger players they need their hand held a little. |

Players of newer games all expect to be spoon fed everything i'm afraid, look at all new games they all have one path that you can follow or have a marker that you can follow to get to your destination. I'll have a go at the maps next week and if anyone wants to use them i'll add them to my dropbox. The maps don't change very much/regularly so I could easily keep up to date with the changes given a day or two's notice
