The Armory feels like a feature that was half implemented. It needs to be a lot more useful.
Aspects of improvement: •NPC(shop/quest): Search NPC and it gives you coordinates and Map (visual map indicator) •NPC(monster/boss): Gives defence and attack stats not just 'str' or 'int' ^ Also possibly visual indicator of a circled area on maps they can be found - would be hugely helpful •Weapons/Armours/Accessories: If searching one that is craftable, give the skill required and the recipe ^(if sold at an npc mention 'sold by npc name' •Upgrade item: Say what it does to accessory/weapon/armour and if it's craftable how to make it and skill required to make it The recipes and requirements will be extremely useful for potions/cook recipes that cannot be checked vs the dura gain like the other crafts to see the requirement. Also dsoma has a lack of recipes easily available, the dsoma crafting thread has quite a bit of mis-information, unrefined recipes, or just recipes that don't work. So armory should be to 'GO TO' for all this.

It would be good if you could see actual stats etc on the armoury. It would be handy to know how to set up a char for certain aspects.

Always liked the idea of a 'Date created' on a player's profile in the armory.

All sound like great ideas, but a lot of work for relatively small QOL benefits IMO.

"DR_EVIL"All sound like great ideas, but a lot of work for relatively small QOL benefits IMO. Almost all of the suggestions are in the database already and just need a script to retreive it and display it in a specific way. I think the only part that couldn't easily be called to display is a map indication of where mob/npc are as it would need to be drawn manually.

"DR_EVIL"All sound like great ideas, but a lot of work for relatively small QOL benefits IMO. I was hoping it was ideas like this that were going to be put onto the soma volunteers As cho and fox were handy with editing bits and maps etc. But they have both left :(. Small qol changes are brill for us but time consuming. I was hoping gms would see a thread like this. And approve all. Then put them to the volunteers asking who can do all the leg work. And all they have to do is then patch them in. Not sure any of the volunteers atm apart from remix has knowledge with stuff like this

I started to implement a lot of this into the wiki - a lot more is still needed - because GMs have little time to spare for such QoL up-dates and it is better for their available time to be spent on in-game improvements/new content/etc.
The theory being that the players themselves could then add to and improve the wiki for their own benefits directly and under their own control. Sadly, very few can be bothered to contribute it seems.........................

I'm sure the wiki has some great information etc, however..
I have no idea how to navigate the wiki, I've gone on there to try and find recipes and I've found no way to search for what I want. So i leave and give up. The site needs a guide xD |

there is a "Search this Wiki" link (in Blue on the Home page immediately below the Word HOME https://myth-of-soma.fandom.com/wiki/Special:Search. I typed in "crafting recipes and found this https://myth-of-soma.fandom.com/wiki/Human_Equipment.
I accept its not the best wiki out there - but it is the only soma one atm. Every item, page, aspect (except the Home Page) can be edited by anyone who makes a simple fandom account. This was my 1st ever wiki and it has tended to be a lot based on the Word manual as a result. Anyone who can help make it better is extremely welcome to do so! :P currently it has 2500~3000 hits a week :D
