Hey, this is probably the wrong place, but probably the most active.
So i usually play 2 soma's at a time (occasionally 3 if i craft) Someone in my household plays the new Cod? (i'm not a cod fan) But has said that because i'm on Soma it's making his Cod connection unplayable due to lag? I don't want this issue to go on over lock down. i went to task manager to check the usage for Soma an it says 0.1 Mbps in the network usage and at the top for total network 0%, so does that mean of the overall network i'm on soma is using less than 1%? How can i check Cod in comparison? (its for Xbox 1) also we are both using wifi, does that matter? I just wanted some advice if it is Soma related or another issue Cheers guys

I play cod/path of exile on my laptop with at least 1-2 soma windows open and it doesn't make me lag,
Can also play it on 4g which I do a lot as it uses next to 0 data |

Get yourself a "wifi booster" for another part of your home and it'll go away.
The 5ghz network that routers offer these days for wifi whilst giving a lot more throughput, suffers a lot worse with things like walls and objects in line of sight. That and for some reason, you can get a form of "congestion of data when signals become weak/cloud resulting in game disconnections/high latency (lag). Doesn't happen nearly as bad if you turn off 5ghz but let's not go there. ( Virgin Media sell that problem as a "you need a more expensive broadband for more people...." ) I can get really technical but its simplest for either of your household to get a pair of powerline adapters - e.g https://www.argos.co.uk/search/wi%252Dfi-powerline/?clickOrigin=searchbar:myaccount:auto:powerline:wi%252Dfi+powerline . Then the xbox can be wired instead. Or just get yourself a "wifi booster" for another area of your house e.g https://www.argos.co.uk/search/wi%252Dfi-powerline/category:50000821/. (Soma isn't the actual cause specifically)

Well, we all used to play this game on 56k modems back in the day with no issue. That should tell you everything you need to know.

If it was me, I would be saying tough shit, soma comes first and you can suffer! 😂 but yeah as everyone says it uses bugger all data wise. I used to run soma off my phone using two or three clients and it was fine.
