As a perpetual victim and in reality sympathiser to pking I would like to add my view.
Pking is an essential part of the game. I don't do it cos I'm crap at it. But not as bad as some who try. How else can you prove the effectiveness of the shiny new item you're made, traded, bought for cash, sorry meant Barr. In short I wouldn't play if pk stopped but there are problems with it. The immune system works for me. 2 resis. 45k done. But just testing items is only a small part. It's a bit boring. Would I start pking if things were spiced up a bit. Failed pking should be punished more severely. The 20 level rule be reduced. Its rediculous that a player can die from 1 hit. With another cap raise the differences between capped players with enhanced gear will increase. Players should be allowed and able to fight back and have a chance to fight back. At present they cannot make a go of it. Pos. This should be more of an incentive to pk. Don't know how you get it. works. but I think Pos abuse is rife through false pking. Views on Pos please. What do players get out of pking and how can the system be improved? On a last point, immunity has to stay, its the only way to address players concepts on bullying what is or isn't. Rico. Id like to see bigger moral points on the negative side to make it harder than current to gain moral back (positive side could increase aswell as top moral is gained around lvl 60)
Pvp pk battles are one of the best things about soma , so to encourage this, anyone who hits another play to go grey Debatable weather pk towns should be removed to make it harder staying full negative moral

Pkers point out that PK mode is a core element of the game, which is correct and originally so were the penalties and reputation that came along with having devil moral although this has now been forgotton. Harsh penalties should be reinforced for those who want to have devil moral. I.e it should take much much longer to gain moral and harsher stat and item loss for dieing while having Devil moral. No doubt some players would whine about this but this is after all how the game was designed. Please lets make this change, time to make things interesting again and let the tough guys of Soma put their money where their mouth is, Angel vs Devil moral just like it used to be back in the day.

If you want harsher penalties bring back the reward of people dropping.🤔 |

There does need to be balance but the way things are, its too easy to abuse and this would get ugly with part timers and casuals dropping their shit all over the place. The Pker will get his fun and satisfaction from killing and hurting egos much like they do now plus they will get the attention and reputation they crave. I can't see any reason why people would be opposed to the idea I made other than the fact they are scared after all their trash talk and bravado. It will make and break in-game alliances, increase user count and only enrich the game.

You don’t need restrictions on PK, you need better/more fun options for PVP that would keep people busier and not running around dropping noobs (really don’t see the point of this, but each to their own).

Negative moral should be as hard as getting from 45-49 moral. its so easy to go from max devil to moral. Im near sure there is no slow downs from -74 to 10. capped chars could spend an hour at mess/ban and get from devil to evil easily. Nothing wrong with having pk in the game but there is no draw back to it at all. I wouldnt even increase hw drops. keeping them low will help with keeping the price high and less attainable.

If you’re going to try to discourage pvp so much, people need other options where they can engage with other willing pvper’s and not be punished for it. |

No one is being discouraged. Devil moral and the associated penalties was a big part of the game, it’s been lost. Duel, arena, GVW, WotW, spirit stone is for the the pvp. Proper PK roles was a thing, let’s bring it back.[/quote]
