Idea stolen from Papa:
Problem: Uncontested GVWs Since server began everyone wants FFA GVW's but it is impossible for many reasons, mainly that guilds always end up allying together in order to stop another guild winning, and nobody wants to attack their friends in different guilds. At the same time most people don't go to GVW because they feel they don't have a shot at winning vs allied guilds and also because if they are seen to attack a certain guild/player they feel they will be targetted afterwards This is the recipe for boring GVWs forever which no-one wants Solution: Only allow people to see the names and guilds of their guildmates at GVW This is obviously a radical change and could potentially just be used as a new event but I think would fix all of the problems above and make it virtually impossible not to FFA especially near the end of the gvw around the stone. Guilds would have to work much more closely together in order to target specific players etc, but it would put a stop to alliances and make GVWs officially FFA. Not only this but anyone and everyone can turn up to GVW and attack who they like without feeling they will be targeted afterwards. Smaller guilds who currently don't bother turning up as they cannot compete with allied guilds would have a much better shot at winning as everyone is fighting each other. I honestly think this would make GVW's epic as there would be constant fighting, with everyone either marked as guild-mate or enemy. It would obviously be a big change so it could even be that only certain GVW's have this FFA format? Also other options like only showing the name/guild of the person on the stone? Or maybe showing everyones names in the last 2 minutes?

Exploitable. Just end your alliances lol very simple. Not an issue for the GMs. Issues for the big guilds (yours)

"CORLEONE"Exploitable. Just end your alliances lol very simple. Not an issue for the GMs. Issues for the big guilds (yours) What do you mean exploitable? It's the opposite of simple - the alliances are like 7 years of friendships etc. and will not end. The nature of the game means it gets divided into two sides. As soon as DL/KL/Faint go FFA then VK/Val/China/Korea win and vice versa. The only way is with intervention / a change of format

Voice comms. Party mode. Only people who will suffer are the smaller guild. Endless possibilities to get around that change.
This is the way the community shaped the game. I don't see how this is an issue for the gms? You have the power as a large guild to make GVW more fun. "Friendship" doesn't end because you want to make the game interesting.

Then we will just dominate until the end of the server ;[ rip
Edit - also the above points are null really. Yes you can still voice comms of course but what this suggestion does is make it 50x more difficult so its a massive plus for smaller guilds. Nothing about it is 'exploitable'. Its obvious that people are not gonna attack their friends over their enemies. People have been saying 'just don't ally' for 7 years - it's not going to happen

Honestly a better idea would be to nerf/remove the tank class :)

Voice comms wouldnt help, you cant spot the name and target your actually have to hover over every player first? Not how how that's easier etc.
Yes parties would work but again max of9 ish people ain't a massive help visually |

"OPENTHEDOOR"With current situation of players and numbers you guys can break up your alliance until further notice Luther. This was proposed multiple times to Korea/VK and everytime it was a firm no and they continued to PK the whole server, turning everyone against them. The current GV system does need an overhaul though as it only means the last 10 minutes are actually worth attending.

-1 whats stopping 3 or 4 guild going into hut surrounding entrance and just magic attacking anything that tries to get in.
Very boring gvws. As said before its the issue of big alliances forces the game into being 1 side vs another. If you have an issue with boring gvws but you wont seperate your alliance. Then just ffa between your alliance when no1 shows up or fight abit and gift as per?

I think there should be rewards for holding gvw for longer to force guilds into making there % lower to even the fight and make it more enjoyable.
But tbh its not likely going to be changed. |
