"ISPARTAN"Ya'll just want to reset KDA just show you can shout at tong all day about it. Not really - though I do think that someone so obviously engaged in K/D boosting against lower levels and his own dual logged characters should lose his K/D and be made to start again.

reset all kd, make a hall of honours page for pvp and knock it down to within 5 levels
1 point for 5 levels below 2 points for 4 levels below 3 points for 3 levels below etc then make a shop to buy things with said points only issue would be just killing your own chars i guess

But he's allowed to pk lower levels? He's literally just being a pker like soma has always had? Seems like someone is a little jealous You quite literally do the exact same as Zoldier tibi except you die a lot - its actually quite unbelievable you can't see this

I have been saying for years that moral is gained too quickly. You can increase the rate of gain of all stats on soma and it won't affect the game. Just makes it faster. However; moral is different. It is not a 'stat', it is a deterrent. Soma is a harsh game, you have to work a long time to gain basic stats, get very lucky for drops and for upgrades on weapons/armour. Death may result in item or stat loss and continual PK'ing could mean losing your ability to hunt in a necessary area. As such a deterrent is needed to prevent frequent PK'ing. The original developers saw this and realised if they didn't do something about it you'd get the kind of problems we have seen on this server; constant complaints, abuse and GMs having to nip in often to shut down the PK system. That's ridiculous. The game should be self-sustaining.
The moral system as it was originally intended works perfectly well. Basically you can PK as much as you want, however; you face entering devil moral and being PK'd to kingdom come by your victims and their friends. Additionally, you cannot enter town and getting out of devil takes ages therefore prolonging your 'sentence'! Thus if you speed up the rate of gain of moral all you do is remove the deterrent. None of the ideas to mitigate PK on this server have really worked hence here we are, still debating it. They remain too much in favour of PK'ing on a game that was originally developed first and foremost for people to grind to gain stats and with only occasional interference in game play through PK. This is evidenced through the fact that if you PK you effectively hamper your own game play since you can be constantly attacked with no cost to the attacker. Soma was simply never developed for people to constantly PK...unless you intend it to be your final hoorah when you reach endgame...attacking those lower until such time as everyone catches up with your level then returns the favour. It strikes me, from my time on ESoma and here that those who constantly PK are in the main not suited to an MMORPG, instead they'd prefer a FPS...they PK normally through bordem, not role play or to gain anything.

They need to enhance pvp modes of the game like Dr Evil wanted for 'arranged pvp' and let current pvp be made into what it use to be - costly and long standing moral implications that they have to calculate for on who they kill and if its worth it. KD would probably be worth a lot more that way (with a reset ofcourse)

The issue with PK has nothing to do with player feeds.
The issue causing people problems is boredom. I could go to mags for an hour and get 1 EP and a tab. Or I could go and clear out every spawn on all maps. Unless you are 100% Pve or a solid pve grinder then you choose to clear out maps. Once you hit your desired level of gear all you have to do is PK and bosses. There is a lot of hypocrisy around PK’ing as well, I was regularly hunted on the hour every hour by a group of 3-5 players that Inc people in this thread condemning it.

Why would people not go after one player with 3 or 4 mates with them? As much as people say they don't care about KD or dying, 95% of people do. Point is optimising your chance of killing the player, its not so easy when you're alone.
Agreed OTD, there is nothing to do but PK or attend bosses. Now people are even getting bored of that, I know of 3 players today who have started playing different games, keeping an eye on discord to log on for 5 minutes to chase someone back to town, then back to their other game.

Nobody says he can't PK lower levels - but we are sure as hell gunna rip him for it and talk about how it demonstrates extremely poor PvP skills on his part that the only people he can consistently/persistently kill are lower level ungeared chars and chars that don't bother fighting back. No jealousy at all. Yes, I die sometimes. It's part of the game - I stick around in PvP fights even when outnumbered and enjoy running about. It's called playing the game properly and not running away, logging off, then logging back in just to kill noobs.

I am one of the few who genuinely doesn't care about k/d, I don't go farming lower lvls and 95% of frequency kills are capped players. Only exception is people like icaros his noob char got attacked when i came across him because he kept a death drop of mine a while ago.
I don't see any enjoyment of killing some1 that doesnt fight back, it's pointless. I actively go into 3/4/5v1 situations just for the kicks as i'm bored like today, the odd death really doesn't bother me its all about having some fun.

Took me years to realise that this game isn't a pvp game it's a pve game with a hint of pvp. There's only so many mobs you can hit and bosses you can kill before someone finally says enough is enough because they're bored stiff so they either go off the rails or just find a new game because they've completed soma.

He's not complaining. It's a valid point and him and OTD are right. The PVE isn't enough to keep people interested. You're the only one moaning here, just like in all of your other posts that add 0 value. Organised pvp sounds like a great idea though i'm not sure how it would be implemented.
