If your struggling lads because you are trying to gift to mutiny or mandems and cant see whos who to target with your mages. Get in one guild and stop gifting the gvw between.

How is gifting the stone and name anonymity even related? As far as I'm aware, this was added because neutral players/guilds we're being harassed outside of gvw because people thought they were siding with one alliance.

If people show up to gvw then its near impossible to gift the gv, most wars end in a death win just like last night's dsoma gvw.

The gvw % system is the reason specific guilds don't turn up in full force some wars.

Start turning up and you might win more than one in a blue moon x

As stated in my previous comment, most busy wars result in a death win. Its not really possible to gift a gv when it's busy.

If people want proper FFA wars then I'd say removal of the % system would be the best way to go about it.

there's plenty of ways to play around this change on both worlds which i wont name for obvious reasons but most people don't wanna find a solution and instead they trying to derail and suggestion thread looking at you @nitefall

ETHDTGSGSRG it shows you don't even play this game because if you did you would know this is impossible with the current guild cap and also why on earth should a guild get punished that harsh when the opposition dont have the balls to try win it for themselfs

Now at least there's some tension as you gotta check who's who rather than standing about doing nothing

Keep the change, it doesn't lower the skill ceiling it makes it harder if anything


It’s a spanner in the works in terms of communication and teamwork, that in itself lowers the skill ceiling, not that it was particularly high anyway.

How does it counter that fact to therefore raise the skill ceiling?

Because you can't see the opposition name
You can no longer just shout 'kill whoosh' on discord as you don't know who that is
How does that lower any skill lol making it harder of course raises it (agree there is a cap to this left click right click ceiling lol)

Making it harder to identify targets accurately, whether to group target them, or keep a particular mage out of the game etc takes a number of play’s out of the game to some degree.

Just because a play is made more difficult to do like that, doesn’t automatically mean the skill ceiling has been raised. All it means is things are to some level kinda random. Taking away from being able to make effective plays will in fact (as previously stated) lower the skill ceiling.

IMO it’s an awful change and I haven’t attended a GVW since the 5 mins I spent testing it shortly after the change.

Don’t forget the f keys. ;)

Yea it makes those plays of targeting specific players more difficult it doesn't take them away. there isnt any skill in 30 people destroying 10 people easily. There are spells being introduce that allow you to place target on people and such to build on what there is atm

It will take time to get use to the fact that every1 not in ur guild is now basically ur enemy at gvw. this makes it more stressful but much more FFA and fair for everyone. its a guild war not an alliance war.
