I'd like to introduce to you a new revision of the Pandemonium map with some improvements to the town itself as well as a specifically edited part of the map.

Introduction

For what seems like an eternity the drums of war work feverishly for the humans and devils. Both peoples distracted and enraged. And so few noticed the flash of light that sparked lasting several minutes on the Devils homeland, the skyless Pandemonium. Shri, saw it and felt a rumble shortly in and around the town and where
hellish lava once boiled, it began to give way to new land and paths, the devastation little.

"You there!" Shri commanded - "Take your maggot hide and find out what that was!". Could it be a new power of the humans... or could it be the Heavens interfering, impossible. You must venture out, brother, your life is worth less than a tenth of Shri.


Summary

I would call most of it QoL / accessibility based yet without changing the town completely (arguably wanted/needed) whilst keeping it to its Esoma roots, hopefully to the favour of devil soma purists out there.

The new town layout now looks like this -



Additions :-

A new bridge entrance/exit from western part of Town (by the restock NPCs) going west towards SW part of the map. (A soma admin may want to move the Angelic NPC/respawn zone further from town now as well as create some new town guards...).



Sagonari's brother (the Aura NPC, that you warp too) has moved! He can now be found, along with his house, where the old arena used to be.



(Soma admins can now remove and free up that map slot (MSET10) that until now has been used _just_ for that purpose, although you may want to allow players to warp to this new place still, as it is the other side of town). Regardless Sagonaris brother spawn location will need to be changed.

New built pathways between key town buildings.

Guild NPC house <-> Craft stations directly



Mage NPC house <-> Pot NPC directly


Weapon NPC house <-> Restock npcs

Weapon NPC house <-> Shri and the Northern entrance




The Soma Dev arena has moved back 2-3 tiles and a couple of blocks have moved out of the way. So that players wanting to run straight from the Warehouse areas(center of town) north out of town can now do that, much more easily. (Again, SD admins would need to look at moving their training dummies into the appropriate arena zone whilst none-SD admins wouldn't have the dummies in that location.



There is now around 5 new light sources in the map, mostly for the new bridge location to go with the flames.

A part of the Pandemonium map now has a couple of other subtile sets included in it and are used to create a new specific part of the map. I don't want to spoil too much so I'll limit that to one picture. This is purposely done so that there is more "stuff" to either base quests around, roleplay or some new monster spawn or all three.



N.B Before using this map, in order for it not to crash 1P1, I've left enabled some movement tiles that should otherwise not be so old guard / dummy/BB board spawns (whether on SD server or any other server) can spawn and not crash your server.

You will need to adjust these spawns before fixing the movement tiles as they need to be. Specifically around the new house(old arena and the new lava), and the SD arena. Also you should revisit the Area IDs and check they are in correct boundaries of the town (note the music change as well)

Please be sure to correct this before using it.

The download are the map files but you'd only want them if you was going to use on a server/client. ^^

Repair should definitely be on page one anyway and is a fix worth of its own merit ^^
