Because its a more powerful spell
Just cause you dont hit damage cap of it doesnt mean it qont hit harder because it does
If you make it faster cast people will use that in pk instead of the ls/ss meaning yet more damage and higher 1 hit potential

I am a mage on dsoma and i always agreed 1 hit is ridiulous

Edit: if the spell could be turned into the same type as weaken etc which doesnt proc off it id happily +1
