@Shailo I can tell you there was max 8 hours planning. We go to every war we can when we can get the numbers needed to have a fight/contest.
@Whoosh I don’t know if your comments are hsoma or dsoma. But at the moment my thinking: it isn’t perfect but a war is better than no war? It levels the playing field and allows lesser numbers to compete, so I think it’s good.. at the moment.

"SHAILO""H4WKEYE"You could always embrace the change, enjoy the game for what it is and just attack everyone not in your guild (you know, a guild war)

But you all stand round like fairies chatting because youd prefer to be safe in the knowledge of a win rather than chance it and have a bit of fun with the very minimal risk the 'opposition' sneaks in for a win[/quote]
Could be worse. Could stand around in town like fairies chatting because you'd prefer to be safe in the knowledge of not attending does not count as a loss.
Last gvw was two months of planning to try catch us of guard and you still lost. (thanks to our mole).
Looooool love the change. Seriously prefer it to having 45 people boxing around stone with mage aoe.
The name change wont be reverted.

I play both but I won't be attending any GVW with the current change, equal numbers or not. Tbh we never came crying on the forum when you all mass healed and we couldn't get near the stone, let alone contest GVW for those few times. As I said previously, you've gotta take the rough with the smooth - you can't just rip the soul out of an event because one side has the higher numbers/advantage for a while. The change lowers the skill ceiling, makes videos way less appealing to watch (and make) and just makes the whole event feel trash to me and by the sound of things, many others. The only argument I'm hearing from the anti revert change camp, is that due to the change killing the fun/skill level, VK and co now have a better chance as we cba with a ruined event. If you guys gain the advantage do we have to totally rework the event again? Where does it stop?

I am not aware or didn’t play when this mass healing went on so can’t comment on that.
Isn’t the skill ceiling raised? Communication and calls need to be better and clearer? The better way would be using the % drop alliance wide, but as that’s easily abused by both sides I don’t think this is a bad way? The last two wars you’ve pulled 25-30 people online and the have both been fun? Most people seemed to thing so.

Fair enough.
No the skill ceiling has been lowered considerably, now you have to just target people based on class, and hope they're not on your side lol. Beforehand you could mark certain targets, focus targets in an order based on some form of hierarchy/tactics, now its just random again. I dont really see a need for a % system at all if I'm honest, I think sometimes you're the hammer and sometimes you're the nail, and that is life lol. I know we've had big turnouts, as our side are still competitive with the rivalry and everything considered, or even just the fact they wanna win a pvp event - again that does not correlate to them thinking the name change is a positive change. I dont know how many people had fun tbh, but from the outlawz lot I know a lot hate the change and consider the whole event a lot less fun. It would seem from reading the forum, and what I've heard in game that the general consensus is the same with the DL section of the alliance. There's even a few coming out and being honest from your side too.

I prefer it this way but thats purely down to magelyf being auto targetted, at least this way a quik gear swap can get you in until youve released a couple of casts
But i understand whyfor the above reason its annoying for defenders/melee |

Outside of just thinking about personal gain though, do you think the change makes for a better event overall?
Do you think the skill ceiling has been raised or lowered? |

So much moaning, jesus. Anyway.
We clearly have 2 options; Revert the name change, or Build upon the change; make guild alliances a real thing, and during GVW show names of the whole alliance, or just health bars, whatever works, 2 guilds max for an alliance. Having 30 people max in a guild has created alot of diversity, and generally I think its good, but it needs to be worked on. 30 members max doesn't work when changes like this are then added.

Keep the change, but add something in that allows a party leader to mark/highlight a target for all players in the party to see clearly.
Or the giggle spell could be changed to be more obvious so its easier to see during the carnage at GVW This will add a bit of skill for teamwork and shotcalling but will definitely make games more fun imo
